Interesting problem with 3.0p1 and IPv6
Hi,
I just ran into an interesting problem with 3.0p1 on FreeBSD 4.0 and
IPv6/v4 mapped addresses.
If I do "ssh -v machine", where "machine" has an IPv4 address in the
DNS, everything works fine (machine is "hilbert.space.net"):
debug1: Connecting to hilbert [194.59.182.6] port 22.

share between different workgroups
...ello,
My company network config:
## Workgroup a, b, c (windows based), and d (novell)
##
Now I added a workgroup e (linux samba), and want to
make all the machines under different workgroups share
the files or printers when necessary. So I setup a
RH7.1 with NAT implemented by iptables so that the
machnies under this server can use 192.168.0.x (win9x
machines) to access the network. Yet the other
machines (win9x) under other workgroups are using real
IP at the moment.
Problem: now, the machines with real IP can see the
linux in the network neighbourhood and the 192.168.0.x
whereas CANNOT get access t...

same behavior with 6.03. I have been using legacy PXE to boot a live ububtu
image for installation on machnies. I recently received a new uefi machine
and want to get it to boot UEFI instead of legacy. I re-organized my
directory structure on the tftp server to be able to use either efi64 or
legacy and get a menu from either one. The live image will boot with legacy
just fine. When I try to boot it from uef...

Smb By Example is good stuff :-)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Well I can't say enough about Mr. Terpstra's Samba 3.0 by Example for
setting up a basic PDC. It is really quite good although I do have one
minor issue adapting it to my needs.
As things stand right now, it seems to spin like a top. It passes all
the tests mentioned in the By Example doc. I have but one issue with it
really and it is very
