glusterfs and samba (file-max limit reached)
...usage supported.
currently one node seems to have surpassed about 3M open files even if
the samba server claims to have about 75k files currently opened.
I'm using a recent gluster snapshot from git.

flac-1.1.2 configure and Makefile fixes
I spent a bit of time trying to make the configure behave.
that's the result, I didn't check if the asm output runs correctly
(looks forcefully disabled) but at least builds as should.

flac-1.1.1 completely broken on linux/ppc and on macosx if built with the standard toolchain (not xcode)
...l the changes you
described.
someone reported a problem with src/libFLAC/include/private/lpc.h
that was fixed in CVS and may fix the problem building with asm
disabled

flac-1.1.1 completely broken on linux/ppc and on macosx if built with the standard toolchain (not xcode)
...9;s a bit higher whish:
could you please write the altivec optimization using C intrinsics? That
way they should work with no/little modification even on ppc 970 in
ppc64 mode.

flac-1.1.2 configure and Makefile fixes
> +test "$AS" = "as" && as --version | grep GNU >/dev/null && AS=gas
The above does not work quite as expected due to several issues. First of
all, configure will hang as the apple as expects input on stdin if no
source file is
specified. Also, the version version flag is -v; though it will print
the version
when it doesn't understand the --version

Topology issue and gluster configuration
...the main
writer, so I got 1/3 the maximal write speed.
I wonder if someone has already a recipe to get the pool replicate by
itself and the writer just using one node (in round robin) to speed up
things.

theora/doc/draft-* licenses
Hi,
the IETF drafts had to be removed from the Debian package recently because
IETF RFCs/drafts are (per default) not conformant to the Debian Free Software
Guidelines, see <URL:http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=390665>.
It would be nice if Phil and Luca could dual-license the drafts under a
DFSG-free license also ... most straight-forward would be libtheora's own
