...frame ('sl'), which has the same number of columns. An example of the procedure is as follows: ml <- data.frame(matrix(sample(1:50,80, replace=TRUE),20,4)) mm <- apply(ml, 2, cumsum) starts<- data.frame(matrix(0,600,4)) I can achieve the result I want with a loop: for (i in 1:4){ lstarts[,i][mm[,i]] <-1 } But as I want to use a large number of columns I would like to do away with the loop Can anyone suggest how this might be done? Thanks in advance Brett Robinson ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the Symant...

nls singular gradient ..as always..
Hi all. Sorry for posting again such a topic but I went through previous posts but couldn't find a solution. I use the following code to fit an exponential model to my data. I have 4 different datasets. For 3 datasets nls seems to work fine and I have no error messages. But for 1 dataset I am getting the "world known" singular gradient error. xfit.dNEE <-

[GIT-PULL] ext4 inline data support
Hi, This branch contains the new ext4's inline data support which has been added recently to kernel 3.8. In addition to inline data support, there are other patches that remove trainling whitespaces and extra new lines in ext2fs code and the other adds an assert() macro to Syslinux core. I think it's worth mentioning that these changes were made against master branch.

mongrel_cluster 0.2.2 - plugin cluster::status does not exist?
Hello all. I''ve recently installed the 0.2.2 pre-release of mongrel_cluster to try out the new --clean option. However, after installing, when I give a simple "mongrel_rails" command, the cluster::status command is not listed. The error I receive when I do try and run the full "mongrel_rails cluster::status" is... ERROR RUNNING

RemoteForward Dynamic Port Allocation
Hello, we have a server that appliances "in the field" SSH into with a config including: > RemoteForward 127.0.0.1:0 127.0.0.1:22 > RemoteForward 0 127.0.0.1:443 so that our support desk can then use these forwards to access SSH and HTTPS on them. Note that the remote endpoint of one is limited to IPv4, while the other defaults to v4+v6;

[PATCH 0/2] UFS1/2 support series
From: Raphael S. Carvalho <raphael.scarv at gmail.com> Wrote the documentation below. I think it would be good to push the doc to the wiki as soon as the UFS support gets merged. Unix Fast File System (UFS/FFS) 1/2 on Syslinux - (usage/install) ----- There is a confusion about the name of this file system, then I decided to contact the author who replied: "The name has always been

[GIT-PULL] XFS filesystem driver
This pull request contains the XFS filesystem driver for Syslinux. Due to historical reasons (SGI IRIX's design of disk layouts), the first sector in the primary AG on XFS filesystems contains the superblock, which is a problem with BIOSes, since VBRs must be loaded up from the first sector of the active partition. Thus, we needed to handle this issue by putting the Syslinux bootsector
