Has anyone used a Dell with a PERC H310?
Hello Sa?o! I found you here: http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/zfs-discuss/2012-May/051546.html "How about reflashing LSI firmware to the card? I read on Dell''s spec sheets that the card runs an LSISAS2008 chip, so chances are that standard LSI firmware will work on it. I can send you all the required bits to do the reflash, if you like." I got Dell Perc H310 controller for do-it-yourself experiments, I tried to run it on non-Dell PC platforms like Asus P5Q and Foxconn G31MX. Without success. I...

Unable to allocate dma memory for extra SGL
Hi all; We have a Solaris 10 U9 x86 instance running on Silicon Mechanics / SuperMicro hardware. Occasionally under high load (ZFS scrub for example), the box becomes non-responsive (it continues to respond to ping but nothing else works -- not even the local console). Our only solution is to hard reset after which everything comes up normally. Logs are showing the following: Jan 8

Hardware raid LSI Megaraid not working since Centos 6.6
Happy new year ! We have a SuperMicro server with a LSI MegaRAID 9260-4i controller. Since Centos 6.6 update (kernel 2.6.32-504), the controller doesn't initialize at boot. Reverting to kernel 2.6.32-431 allows server to boot fine. The server can't boot due to a bug in LSI megaraid module. Boot log ends by a lot of lines: RESET_GEN2: retry=xxx, hostdiag=a4 I tried Centos 6.6

Has anyone used a Dell with a PERC H310?
I''m trying to configure a DELL R720 (not a pleasant experience) which has an H710p card fitted. The H710p definitely doesn''t support JBOD, but the H310 looks like it might (the data sheet mentions non-RAID). Has anyone used one with ZFS? Thanks, -- Ian.
