I bought a new CyberPower CP850AVRLCD ups, connected it to a usb port and I'm trying to use it with hal. I am trying to install 6.2 on a machine. I am using PXE as I have done so a number of times. My hard disk is being detected as sdb and not sda. My kickstart config is wanting it at sda. There are no other disks in the unit. It has and SD slot and an esata although BIOS does not appear to have a disable for either of those devices. I am trying to use a Guillemot gamepad with PES6 but the buttons are not recognized. In kubuntu system settings I can see my pad, callibrate the joysticks and see the buttons are recognized, but not inside wine (only the joysticks are recognized). Given that I hardly ever use the CD-ROM drive, it makes no sense to have hal constantly polling it for new media. How can I disable this polling in CentOS 5.1? Thanks.

ok, here goes.. Running Ubuntu Hardy 64bit.. Ubuntu see's the gamepad correctly etc.. Game's under wine can see it, but thats it... i cant program the buttons, or use the buttons or the analog sticks.... Have no idea how to solve this...
