Sorry still unable to find documentation
Hello
I have set up a Samba 3 PDC on RHEL4 using the tdbsam backed. I can log
in as a user who has been added to the tdbsam database from a
workstation. When I try to add the workstation to the domain (after
breaking user connections to the server) I get "The following error

File-name Mangling issue...
I want all the file-names to be stored on a samba share from my XP clients
to be automatically converted to 8.3 syntax, so that i do not have any
further problem while transporting those files over to other
networks/servers like netware.
As for now i am using these below mentioned lines to support file-name
mangling over my samba.

My Network Places not finding Samba server
I assume I am doing(or not) something extremely simple that is causing my
XP boxes to not see my linux(FC4) Samba server in the 'My Network Places'.
I can access the shares by 'Map Network Drive' and using the IP
address(192.168.0.1).
I have set the workgroup name 'DAMEN' in the lmhosts file.
192.168.0.1 DAMEN
I have set the workgroup in the smb.conf file.
