Installing R on RedHat7.0
I recently got a new machine, running RedHat Linux 7.0 (kernel 2.2.16, XFree864.0.1), and tried to install R-1.1.1 on it from the rpm file on CRAN. RPM complained about missing dependencies: libreadline.so.3 libtcl8.0 libtk8.0 The RH7.0 installation includes later versions of these libraries. I went ahead and forced an installation, and of course R wouldn't work. By linking

Perl wierdness.
Ok, trying to install amavisd-new from Dag. Getting into a lot of problems, all of which seem to stem from Perl dependency issues. I have built several of the required modules by hand, but then got down to perl-MIME-tools. It builds FINE, but will not install. Why? Turns out, the perl RPM 'provides' perl(MIME::QuotedPrint)=3.01 but the module itself is 3.03. Build a perl module

At one level, tinc being so nicely meshy means that the "fq" part of fq_codel on the gateway will have more chance to work against the multiple vpn flows it generates for all the potential vpn endpoints... but at another... lookie here! ipv6! 2^64 addresses or more to use! and port space to burn!
