wine apt no logner add-able
I'm running xubuntu 9.04 on dual boot with 98SE 900mhz 384mg ram 100gb drive. you know, all the latest cutting edge stuff to date. [Laughing] any who i noticed the install direction on the main page have changed because you use to have to install the Scott Richie file and the APT line was longer and different.
when i copy and paste "ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa" my add source button stays

network in guest suddenly dead
...The guest-systems do not get their IP by DHCP (have none), but have assigned
a free
static IP. The network is up and connections to/from the guest-systems can
be made.
But after a certain time (about 10 minutes) the network from/to the
guest-system suddenly is
dead - no connections can be made any logner. Inspecting the network in the
guest-system does
not show something strange - a network resetart in the guest-system does not
change anything.
If i restart the guest-system the network comes back again -for about 10
minutes.
If i eg. have a permanent ping to/from the guest-system, the network stay...

friendly printer name
...e server for printer sharing and are very happy with it. We only
have one problem or missing feature:
On a Windows Server, you change the name of a printer, so that it is
different to the share name. We use 8-letter sharenames for being
compatible to old Win9x-Clients, bbut we would like to have logner, more
comprehendable names for our Win2k/XP users. The printer name on Windows
in the Properties under the general-tab; the textbox next to the
printer icon can be altered and pressing ok saves the new name on the
server.
I tries to track the problem, and it seems like windows saves this nam...
