Re: [Nut-upsuser] Ablerex 625L USB version
Hi Jon,
your patches are malformed because (presumably) your email client
wrapped this lines. Could you please send these as a unified diff
("diff -u"), and send them in attachments, rather than as a
copy-and-paste?
Thanks, -- Peter

[PATCH] Build: Make changelog action call git directly without Git module
The changelog action needs to checkout git2cl as a submodule. For some reason,
when called through the Git module, command('submodule', 'update') was doing
something unfathomable, and different to just calling 'git submodule update'. As
Git is just a command line wrapper anyway, I've sidestepped this by just calling
the command directly.

hang on exit bug under Linux
>From what I understand, the problem is due to people's disagreement about what the "correct" behavior should be. I'm pretty sure that the following is the correct behavior from running rsh and ssh often (both fsecure and openssh).
Lets say you have a stupid script that does

do
sleep 1

[PATCH] Allow GSSAPI to work with multihomed hosts
I saw some past chatter on this in the list archives, but here is
another stab and another rational.
This patch follows a similar patch to openssh in that it allows any
key in the specified keytab to match the incoming host key. This is
necessary for multihomed hosts. See:
https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=928
IMAP/POP seem to be a strong candidate to be multihomed because they

I'd like to submit a patch to the 'hidups' driver. I'm a bit new to
open-source development model, so I hope I'm not committing a faux paus by
just posting it here. I did verify that the problem still exists (by
source code inspection) in the latest dev snapshot, which is
nut-2.0.3-pre2. I'm using nut-2.0.2 myself.
The problem is when I'm connecting to my APC

Shutdown problem with Mecer 1000VA Online UPS
Hi,
They say one should never argue with people that know more than you, so please bear with me.

dovecot-2.0.beta3 tcpwrapper support in Solaris
Hi,
2.0 compiles fine in Solaris but and I've found only one glitch so far.
Tcpwapper support needs some tweaks. I need to add
CPPFLAGS=/usr/sfw/include because tcpd.h is in there. Then also
LDFLAGS='-R/usr/sfw/lib -L/usr/sfw/lib' is needed. It would be nice to
have --with-tcpwrap-dir or something.
After this linking gives an error

[PATCH v3] fish: add journal-view command
Lets user view journald log from VM in a similar format as journalctl uses.
Makes virt-log use the same code as guestfish for journal-view.
Fixes RFE: journal reader in guestfish (RHBZ#988100)

[PATCH v2] RFE: journal reader in guestfish
This implements new guestfish only command called journal-view.
There seems to be a minor issue when user wants to run it through pager (more)
and wants cancel it. User will end up with stuck guestfish until journal-view
transfers all journal items.
Output is now configurable, it's the same format as virt-log has, since both
uses same code now.

Plea for a more loquacious nut
I would like nut to become more loquacious, and to log a much more
complete report of its activity. At present nut reports that its
components have started operation but does not automatically log their
activity when UPS's switch between OB and OL. I believe that this
under-reporting of important facts is too minimalist - it would be better
for system administrators and for the nut

OpenSSH Logging Madness
Feature request:
- Please add a new LogLevel corresponding to the LOG_NOTICE syslog level.
- Then modify OpenSSH to log to LOG_NOTICE only these events:
- login failures
- login successes
Specifically, please:
- add a new element to the LogLevel enum, say, 'SYSLOG_LEVEL_NOTICE',
between 'SYSLOG_LEVEL_INFO' and 'SYSLOG_LEVEL_ERROR', in log.h

Corrupted transaction log file / record size too small
I recently upgradeded dovecot on one of our servers from version 1.0.10
to version 1.1.3. Ever since, we've been seeing occasional errors
similar to this sequence (with the username and IP addresses elided):
