Samba running, but nobody can see shares

SWAT Note:
When I try http://DS:901 the browser tries to find
www.DS.com:901.
When I try http://192.168.10.68:901/ I get an error:
Document contains no data.
When I try http://localhost:901/ I get taken into
SWAT.

why do file locks revert to root ( fairly long)

Samba problem
Hi,
I have a problem connecting my Windows98 to the Samba server.
The Linux computer comes up in the "Network Neighborhood" control panel,
but when I double click on the icon, W98 asks for a password for the
"\\machine name\IPC$" resource.
But my password will not me accepted. I have logged in as user "root"
with
a given password on both computers.
