Help with upgrading 7960 SCCP to SIP
...Load ID: P00305000300 Boot Load ID: PC03M030 Version: 5.0(3.0) The files that I have are: P003-07-1-00.sbn P003-07-1-00.bin P0S3-07-1-00.loads P0S3-07-1-00.sb2 If I put "P003-07-1-00" in OS79XX.TXT, the phone tries to tftp XMLDefault.cnf.xml. I've tried every imaginable <loadinformation> parameter, and can't get the phone to actually grab the image, it just keeps redownloading the XML file. If I put "P0S3-07-1-00" in OS79XX.TXT, the phone wants to download P0S3-07-1-00.sbn, which I don't have. If I rename P003-07-1-00.sbn to that name, it downloads the fi...

OT: Cisco 7961 SIP downgrade from 8.3.3 -> 8.0.4SRS2 failing
Hi, My apologies for the OT. My googling came up empty and hopefully there are some members in the community that could give me a hint how to solve this issue: Cisco 7961 with SIP firmware 8.3.3. Needed to downgrade it to 8.0.4SRS2. The downgrade process started off good. The 7961 got it's IP address via DHCP, found it's SEP<mac>.cnf.xml file and started to "upgrade"

cisco 7940 + sccp issue
Hi, Does anyone know how to make this thing (7940) work with asterisk (chan_sccp module) ? I've set the configuration according to the wiki and now the phone just keep asking for CTLSEP<xxx>.tlv from my tftp server. In the cisco's web interface, I found this in the device logs : 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 ...

Cisco 7940 with asterisk
Hi all, I've been playing around with a cisco 7940 phone. It seems to like talking to Asterisk with the chan_sccp plugin. The only problem is that it tries to call out to a SEPXXXXXXXXX.cnf.xml file to verify it's configuration. I've found docs for SEP*.cnf files, but not .xml ones. Does anyone have a .xml file for a 7940 (Skinny?) phone that I can start with? ...Jeff

Cisco 7970 SIP upgrade issues
Dear Asterisk People, I am having problems putting a SIP image on a 7970. I was wondering if anyone can help? First problem is the phone is running version Load IDJar70.2-5-47-17.sbn Boot Load ID7970_64054100.bin Version5.0(0.6S) So I did read that you couldn't simply put the latest SIP image on such an old phone and a newer firmware version should be used. I got

Cisco 7970 SIP won't update?
Does anyone know what triggers the 7970 to update its config? I was able to get it to update to SIP, but the config I used initially won't go away. I am making small changes to the SEPxxx.cnf.xml file and rebooting the phone, the phone is downloading the (TFTP) new config file, but I don't see any change on the phone itself. I've looked at the VersionStamp and incremented that, but

[Asterisk-Dev] Cisco 7970 SCCP Configs.
...without a problem and that all works fine, however (and I've read through the lists and can't find a reference to this) which file is the firmware load? i.e. Which file should be the one specified in the SEP<mac>.cnf.xml In the SEP<mac>.cnf.xml I'm assuming that in the <loadInformation> line I should be selecting one of these files, however when I've tried all these files I just get the message 'Load ID Incorrect' on the phone. If someone could post their SEP<mac>.cnf.xml and xmlDefault.CNF.XML files I'd be very grateful as I'm sure I'm just miss...

Cisco 7970
I currently have two Cisco phones, a 7960 and 7970. The 7960 has a SIP OS on it and the 7970 has a SCCP. When the 7960 powers up it loads OS79XX.TXT, SIPDefault.cnf, SIP000E3875266C.cnf, RINGLIST.DAT, and dialplan.xml. I have a Cisco SmartNet agreement with the phone so I have access to download the firmware. I recently purchased a Cisco 7970 phone and was in the process of configuring
