Quota problem (soft=hardlimit?)
...indows 2000 duplicating the profiles before writing back to the server, therefore (2 * Profiles). Ok, we can live with that. But treating the soft limit like hard limit is not fair, I think. The only thing changed on the server was the upgrade to Samba 2.2.5 (RPM from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/lmuelle, we use SuSE 7.3). Greetings and thanks for any hints, Peter Griessl (griessl@ihs.ac.at)

The cups part works. ----------smb.conf-------- mobila23:~ # more /etc/samba/smb.conf [global] workgroup = PEER netbios name = mobila23 guest account = nobody load printers = yes printing = cups printcap name = cups log file = /var/log/samba/%...

SAMBA write error on SUSE 10.0
Hi all, I use SAMBA 3.0.13-1.1-SUSE on a SuSE 9.3 Pro boxed version. Has anything changed w.r.t SuSE 9.3's SUSE 10.0 Samba versions? I use the same setup in swat. Ver. 3.0.20b-3.1 (or 3.0.20-4) does not behave the way it should. PROBLEM 1: Last week I installed SUSE 10.0 boxed version with its SAMBA version 3.0.20-4 (Updated by YOU to 3.0.20b-3.1-SUSE), on a x86_64 System. All works, but

Samba ignoring socket options?
Hi everyone. I am running Samba 3.2.0-22.1 (as packaged by OpenSUSE in 11.0) on a storage server connected to multiple windows based clients over a gigabit ethernet link. The server is a quad core Intel CPU and is equipped with an Intel e1000 based gigabit ethernet controller and plugged into a common gigabit ethernet switch with the windows clients. I am seeing performance issues on transfers
