seems to work properly. Thank you. Do you know about a tool which integrates
well in Ubuntu? Maybe a GUI for xrandr? The other option would be to use some
bash script, which also is okay for me.
Just for your information the outputs of 'xrandr -q' and 'xrandr --listproviders':

[Bug 103033] New: nouveau can't start my discrete nvidia card (BIOS / ACPI error)

dmesg with nouveau.debug=trace + acpidump + xorg.conf
I've got a portable computer with an Intel graphic card and a nvidia discrete
card (G 105M).
I've installed Fedora 26.
Everything should run fine with nouveau and Prime.
However, xrandr --listproviders only send me 1 provider, which is the Intel
card.
I've seen a problem with the BIOS and the nvidia card :

on the display (yay!)
* loading nouveau with `debug=debug` and starting X11, the display
remains dark
* loading nouveau and intel (for the internal display), the external
display remains dark as well, xrandr does not show it, but
`xrandr --listproviders` at least lists two providers (I'm not sure
whether I can somehow enable the external display in this case).
That's all tested on:

I have an optimus laptop with intel HD4000 and nvidia GTX 660M.
With xorg-server 1.16.1 the GPU cannot be used. Replacing xorg-server with

any other changes (even rebooting).

GP106M+Intel Skylake, Kernel 4.10-rc3 : No display on HDMI or DP
Hi all,
On my recent MSI Apache Pro laptop with Intel Skylake + GP106M Nvidia chip, i am unable
to use the external HDMI and DP outputs. The outputs are available thru xrandr and can
be activated, but the connected monitors always show a black screen.
Note that the integrated LCD is connected to the Skylage GPU, while the HDMI and DP
outputs are connected to the NVIDIA GP106M GPU.

Hi there,
a few days ago I installed Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 on my Thinkpad W530. It has the

I selected "Optimus" in the BIOS settings to activate both graphic cards. After
installing the nouveau driver on Ubuntu via 'apt-get install

I use Gentoo and nouveau with reverse PRIME to get an external monitor working

Support for GP107(GL)M with Optimus
Hi,
I recently added logs and another report from a ThinkPad P1 with a
Quadro P2000 Mobile (GP107GLM) to issue #100228.
That's with a very recent Linux kernel and current nouveau driver
sources, all booted from an NFS-root setup, making it well reproducible.
I can optionally boot into a similar NFS installation with the
proprietary Nvidia driver, allowing me to capture MMIO traces as well.
