I don't think so, I see the same thing.

Hi
I get this mailing-list as a digest (as everyone does, i guess). This is
quite inconvinient for answering single questions.. I every digest there is
a message with Subject: Re: Samba dingest <NR>... This makes it hard to keep
track about whath message the replay is ment for.
Another problem is, that mime-attachments don?t seem to work. This is
especially bad, because some Microsoft

patch contributors and the samba-cvs list
We still have quite a few patches pending in samba-bugs.
If you have sent a patch to samba-bugs and are waiting for it to be
integrated then you might like to know about two things that make life
easier for you and for us.
The first is the samba-cvs list. This is a standard listproc list
(just like this one) that automatically receives all the cvs commit
messages. Be warned that this list is quite busy (96 messages in the
last 5 days). You can also see an archive of it at
http://samba.anu.edu.au/listproc.
The second is the anonymous cvs service I mentioned last week. If you...

Win98 Password Stumbling Block (Resolution)
For those of you that have had/are having problems getting Win 98 clients to
correctly authenticate, I have identified a stumbling block which I had to
deal with. Specifically, EnablePlainTextPassword *must* be a DWORD value.
In following the instructions found here,
http://us1.samba.org/listproc/samba/October1998/0321.html and on the
Microtheft web site, I installed the ptxt_on.inf file from the Win 98 CD.
This created a Registry Entry that was binary rather than DWORD. Using
regedit, manually configure the key as DWORD with a value of 1 for Plain
Text passwords.
Hope this helps someone...

anyone seen this code around? (Bjart didn't answer my email a couple of

Pls include Message-Id hdrs!! (Re: alternate mail archive)
Please include all the relevant headers in any mailing list archives you
set up.
Specifically:

- Cc
- Date
- Subject
- Message-Id
- Reply-To
- Followups-To
and so on. The From/To/Cc headers are not absolutely necessary, but the
others are.
This is necessary so that those of us who don't subscribe to the list
can actually reply correctly to mails posted to the list.

Network time sync and reverse NetBios name lookup
I made a somewhat deep check for time synchronization and I
couldn't find what I was looking for. What I need to do is synchronize
the clock on a Linux box to the clock on an NT server. I can't use NTP
or any other protocol because the NT box doesn't understand it. Any
pointers would be great.
The second issue is that I need to do (if possible) a reverse

non-digest format of this list?
I always get the messages of this list in a digest format.
This is bad to handle, esp. if you want to answer a question found
in the digest.
Does everyone else also get the list as a digest?
Is there a way to switch to single messages?
If not how do I easily answer messages which the subject correctly set?
Or how do I automatically split the digest into the separate messages?

Help with archive bit request
Hello,
I am trying to get the archive bit to behave under Samba 2.2.2
on a Linux box (Slackware 8.0) serving NT and Win2K clients.
I have "map archive = yes" and "dos filemode = yes".
If I have "force create mode = 0100", creating new files sets the archive
bit (good) and "attrib +a filename" will turn on the archive bit if it
was off (good) but

Samba2.0.6 tgz compile questions.
After fighting with trying to rebuiled my src.rpm file. I decided to use a
plain old
fashion compile from the tar files. which worked ok, no settings changed.
at about 11pm last night I finished and noticed a few things that made me a
bit
uneasy.
1) all the Samba bin files were installed in /usr/local/samba/..
2) no smb.conf file was created.
I used ./configure, make , make install when I
