I'm just curious but does this also work limitlessly on ARM?

Saving nothing with save()
Scenario: Here I am working away in R. I've got results that prove
global warming is anthropogenic and also the solution for producing
limitless carbon-neutral energy from nuclear fusion. Its been a good
day.
So, I want to save my work. I don't want to overwrite my current
.RData, so I save it to another file:
save(file="prize.RData") # just need to email this to the Nobel

parse_Rd and/or lazyload problem
I'm encountering problems when making lazy-loadable databases of the output from 'parse_Rd'. The lazy-load database is of seemingly limitless size when I try to reload it... Admittedly I am using functions that I'm not really supposed to use, which is why this isn't a bug report, but there does seem to be something strange going on; my code is very similar to code that lives

Handling content pages (CMS-like)
Hello list,
I wonder how you guys handle content pages? Often described as "static"
pages.
However, I don''t like to call them "static" because these pages often do use
some minor dynamic content.
This is what I like to think of as the "website" part of the web
application. Content that does not have complex logic behind it.
I had to handle it in the

[LLVMdev] LLVM 2.6 and Aggregate Return Values: 64 bit
Dear All.
How well does LLVM 2.6 support aggregate return values for 64 bit
targets? I'm currently working on 64 bit Mac OS X and 64 bit Linux.
Are there any known problems or limitations?

Effect.dropout and Too Much Recursion Error
Hi,
I need some help again. :-)
I have "Too much recursion error" prototype.js line 1288,
I heve this error when I try to use Effect.dropout (script.aculo.us)
if I remove table ID, there is no error, and the effect works fine
(remove the tr from table)
But I need this ID assign to this table, as table ID is used by other
effect (Builder.node)
Please help ....
Thanks

Hostname passed to PAM as rhost
(I am sorry to bother the list with something I should have verified
myself right now - I simply do not have access to the source code
here)
Thinking of some limit I wanted to put with authentication, I am
wondering - when Dovecot authenticates a user using PAM, now that
(in 1.0) it passes the rhost item to PAM, it passes a hostname, not
an IP address.
Does it double-verify the DNS record

Remove data 3 standard deviatons from the mean using R?
Hi Everyone,
I have a very long list of data-points (+2300) and i know from my histogram
that there are outliers which are affecting my mean.
I was wondering if anyone on here knows a way i can quickly get R to
calculate and remove data which is 3 standard deviations from the mean? I am
hoping this will tidy my data and give me a repeatable method of tidying for
future data collection.

Is r2u at 3.4.1? [branch about handling package collisions under Ubuntu/Debian]
This is definitely tangential to the list: I'm on Ubuntu (22.04.2 LTS)
not Debian and I'm sure this is about issues in the Ubuntu package
management
on my machine, R is only revealing them.
The original subject line came from me wondering if my going over to the r2u
repository would solve the problem.? However, as I think Dirk said, that's
only really likely to be answered by trying

REST
I''ve been looking into RESTful approaches lately. Everything I know
my dog, Lelu, taught me.
REST (REpresentational State Transfer) is an architectural technique
for networked applications first described by Roy Fielding in his
dissertation at UC Irvine-- excellent work, especially considering
the tempting proximity of Newport Beach. As Lelu described it to me,
REST strives

voip-info.org status update
A short status update:
Yesterday 3 of the 4 disk drives in the RAID array on the server that hosts voip-info.org failed.
The coloprovider is currently working to replace the drives and I'm hoping that the site returns to service soon.
Tomorrow is looking most likely.
I'd like to thank all those that have called or emailed to offer help and/or encouragement.
I will definately be looking

Ortho - a library for JavaScript Graphics and Text
I''ve written a JavaScript library called Ortho (http://www.craic.com/
ortho) on top of Prototype for creating ''diagram-style'' graphics in
JavaScript. You can create histograms, graphs, timeline plots, ''maps''
of genomic data, annotated images, tree diagrams, etc.
Unlike Canvas, it seamlessly integrates text with graphics and the
output looks the same

With the system I've outlined, there is no reason to cheat. There's
no need to fake listener counts because it's not there. Certainly
people can make this available in the 'description' field, ie, how

prototype/script.aculo.us ecosystem
Recently errtheblog (http://errtheblog.com/) put up a nice post about
jQuery. Putting aside all the assertions about cleaner code and fewer
lines of code than with Prototype, the one thing that struck me from
his (and others'') writing and from direct inspection is this: jQuery
seems to have a more of an ecosystem surrounding it. That is, more
plugins, widgets, locked-and-loaded
