[LLVMdev] [PATCH] x86/asm: avoid mnemonics without type suffix
...Clearly "bt $63,mem" is talking about bit 63, and a quality assembler would either warn about it or just do the RightThing(tm) like the intel manual says. I'd actually like to say "think you" to the gas people, because gas today may not do the above, but gas today is still *lightyears* ahead of where it used to be two decades ago. Back in those dark ages, GNU as was even documented to be *only* about turning compiler output into object code, and gas was the ghastliest assembler on the planet - it silently did horrible horrible things, and didn't do *anything* user-friendly...

We use the gcc constraint

autotoolizing xen?
Hi there! I was wondering what the general opinion on autotoolizing xen is? I am volunteering to do so, if there is interest in updating the build system to use autoconf, automake and/or libtool. Is one configure script for all of xen enough or do you want to be able to configure all/some tools separately? I know that Anthony is no fan of libtool... are there more reservations about some

Please help: domU becomes unresponsive
Hi all, sorry to intrude on xen-devel, but I think I need direction from the expertise here. I''ve admin''d Xen servers of various flavors for a couple years, but never seen this before. After a period ranging from several hours to several days, my primary database and development DomU completely locks up. Net disconnects, but CPU(sec) continues to tick in xentop. No errors, and

Convince me to buy TextMate!
I got a Powerbook recently and am debating buying TextMate. I installed the trial and have checked it out, but don''t see what''s so great about it. AFAICS it''s the Ruby and Rails macros for expansion and other stuff that might be it. Other than that, TextMate seems like a pretty basic editor. I currently use PSPad and Editplus, and I could probably get/make macros
