[LLVMdev] Call for Lightening Talks
I have some empty space for more lightening talks at the LLVM Developers’ Meeting. These talks are 5 minutes total and are presented in series. The only hard criteria is that it should be related to LLVM or subproject (Clang, LLDB, etc). Please send me an email (ASAP) with the following: 1) Talk Title 2) Your name and affiliation. 3) 1...

calendar
Folks, My manager's asked me about something that can run on our CentOS boxes that can connect to an (bleah!) Exchange server's calendar. It doesn't look like Lightening can, and from some googling, it appears that Evolution claims to, but.... It's got to be able to set dates, etc. Can Evolution? Any other suggestions? mark

surge protector?
I lost one channel on an FXO module on a Sangoma A200 card due to a lightening zap in the area (well - it died the same night as a major thunder storm came through).... Is there a recommended/standard surge protector for phone lines I should be using? My server has 2 POTS lines. thanks Todd

[LLVMdev] LLVM Developers' Meeting - Call for "Papers" deadline reminder!
What, the deadline is tomorrow?!? The deadline for proposals snuck up on me, and I'm sure many of you forgot as well. Therefore, I am extending the deadline. So please, get those proposals in and lets make this year the best developer meeting yet! The deadline for proposals for talks, tutorials, BoFs, posters has been extended to September 15, 2013 midnight PDT. Call for Papers: All developers and users of LLVM and related sub-pro...

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
...Bullet III GPS Antenna requiring a 5V supply that was compatible with the femtocell and could be roof mounted. Once WiFi calling became available, Sprint dropped support for the femtocell. So I added a Trimble RES 360 Carrier Board and Rpi2 and created a Strata I time server. In July of 2017 a lightening strike took everything out (despite the lightening arrestor) so I migrated to RPI3 with a GPS Networking L1GPSA-N L1 Roof Antenna. I split the GPS signal and have two RPI3s each with a Trimble RES 360 Carrier Board. Since I already have this hardware providing approximately 1uS time accuracy...

Winamp output plugin build problem
Hello vorbis-dev, I'm trying to build the Winamp output plug-in from some source I culled from the mailing list archives. The compile is failing since I'm missing a structure call info_A. MP3 encoding of Monitor files
I have having problems trying to take a file recorded with Monitor and convert it to MP3. When I use 'play' to play the .wav file, it sounds fine. After bladenc'ing it, it plays at lightening speed, and the voices are all high pitch. I tried using sox to resample to 32000 before encoding, but that didnt work either. Do any of you convert your .wav files to mp3? Monitor call: Monitor(wav|test) 'file' output: test.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM,...

cut-off time for rsync ?
...I would like to use rsync with a cut-off time, saying "if a file is older than this, don't even bother checking it on the destination server (and the same for directories -- but without ending a recursive traversal)". Now I am traversing some directories twice on the source server to lighten the burden on the destination server (first find, then rsync). Best, Dirk van Deun -- Ceterum censeo Redmond delendum

Key for high CPU usage
Dear List, I'm trying to take a closer look at rsync code, and found when we run daemon, it will take a lot of CPU (400Mhz). So I'm interested in Which part of rsync code on ver 3.0.5 consuming CPU a lot? Can anyone here help to lighten me up? So I can try to improve the performance or low the CPU usage. I suspect that there are a few factors, which might related with CPU usage: rolling checksum/Disk IO(a slide window has been implemented), read or write? Hope I can find some info here! Thanks in advance! -- Daniel Li

Where Did The Disk Go???
...(both standard and LVM) were built raid 1. Due to some things happening around the house that required most of my attention, I saw some alerts concerning drive /dev/sdb but I didn't have time to address it and since I am running raid 1... One of the tings that happened was my home took a lightening strike and we were down for 4 days. When we got our electricity back and I brought the machine back up I noticed that there were only 5 drives listed and I wasn't getting any more alerts. What was /dev/sdb was no longer listed with any command (fdisk; cat /proc/mdstat; mdadm --list)....

More Benchmarks, and a question about indexing
Hi, We are thinking of converting to Dovecot to lighten our I/O load. I have done some performace tests comparing UW-IMAP to Dovecot when using mbox format if anyone is interested. They primarily examine the I/O improvements that can be gained from using Dovecot over UW when staying with mbox format: http://whizzo.uoregon.edu/public/src/mailperf/result...

getting serial anovas from a complex lm object obtained with a matrix of responses
...owing would work: anovaResult<- anova(mod) With a more complex lm object, such as that generated above, it seems anova is trying to compare all the models to each other, a Herculean task for ~20k models and NOT what I want. Without resorting to a slow loop/apply approach, is there a way to get lightening fast anova results in a fashion similar to that obtained from lm? Mark -- Mark W. dir.xiph.org only listing Ogg streams
Anyone wanting their AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus stream(s) listed on Tuner2, please send request(s) with relevant information to me directly. This is free and does not require an Orban Opticodec-PC Encoder. My LLVM Project had selected for 'Lightening talk and Poster Presentation' at LLVM Dev Meeting Oct 2017 USA [2]. I think above mentioned details are sufficient to represent my competence. I am interested in taking forward this project 'Implement a Single Updater Class for Dominators' . Any suggestions regarding the project is...
