RE: SPA 3000 - UK Replacement
First off I am totally annoyed and let down by PC World Business (PCWB part of the Dixons Group). I ordered one of these babies from them over a month ago. After constantly chasing them up they finally told me they couldn't deliver, and have now only just returned the money they "stole" from me. I only bought from them because they showed a 4-day availability stock level! Now

Re: Ogg Spec, etc.
...plement their > own encoder or decoder, or as Jon did to claim that the file format > is documented. Actually, people have implemented perfectly valid Vorbis encoders and decoders before the specification was even published. I wouldn't go so far as to call other people on this list dirty liars, but I suspect that the spec that's published is good enough for them, and they're simply dealing with different issues than you are, and will not run into the same errors that you'll find in the spec. > At the moment there is de facto no way to write own software with > support...

SAMBA AD and Google Cloud Directory Sync
I've successfully setup SAMBA AD following the guide at jimshaver.net and have been able to create all of my users without a problem. When I launch GCDS and attempt to test the LDAP connection via LDAP+SSL via port 636 I get the following error: *[2017-06-02 13:32:34,537] [SwingWorker-pool-1-thread-5] [DEBUG] [plugin.ldap.AbstractLdapHandler] javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error

What about a higher level configuration language
Hi all. I've been reading through Wi-Ki and at the extensions.conf file description (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+config+extensions.conf) The author says this: "One day, someone is going to write a proper scripting language for Asterisk that can understand a simpler, easier (and more traditional) scripting syntax. All it would need to do is translate the "high

beware supposed PCI 2.2 compatibility!
...nifty-looking blue "E" cards, as most here probably know, require a PCI 2.2-compliant slot. What you may not know is that manufacturers may LIE about that (or to give them the benefit of the doubt, they may not know. But how is that any better? I'd just as soon buy hardware from a liar as from an incompetent.) This motherboard from ECS, a P6VEM3, features a SiS chipset, and its documentation claims PCI 2.2-compliance for the 3 (count 'em, 3!) expansion slots. So we (Mike at Digium did most of it) persisted with the other difficulties (we discovered that a C3 CPU can't...

Please help: The process of am-utils map key lookup
Hi, I am using am-utils(amd binary daemon) to auto mount home directories. the mounting process seems working fine but I am still not understand how the amd map key(s) lookup process works. I've carefully read the am-utils(amd) document at http://am-utils.org/docs/am-utils/am-utils_8.html, especially the chapter "3.2 How keys are looked up" but am still not clear. For example,

...be that OSS sometimes tempts us in to bite off more than we can chew. If you are hitting specific issues with Asterisk then I'm afraid you are going to have to deal with them one at a time, I would love to tell you that this is not the case with commercial software but that would make me a liar so I won't. You are writing a complex application that requires the integration of multiple 3rd party technologies, this is bound to be a frustrating experience. On the other hand this is what most commercial software development projects are like and most of them get there in the end so if...
