I did find a say to get to the directory holding wpwin9 and it strarted but then froze with the splash screen. Not sure how to get the error message in here; seems to have to do with the keyboard and X11driver; hope I am abusing this bulletin board, but I am hoping someone can help me with the next step. Everytime I start a program with wine-20010629 on Red Hat Linux, font metrics get updated. I am getting fonts through the Xserver (no xfont server) (currently M$, ghostscript, Type1, misc and 75dpi fonts) Is this behaviour normal? Hi, there are 2 games I want to get up and running, they are Alpha Centauri and HOMM3. I would buy AC if it was available at a decent price. I have installed both from original CD, from Wine. My problems are: HOMM3: Comes up with a warning: Unable to initialize resources, possible disk problem. Can't remember if it is protected. This version was upgraded to version 1.4 by the installer.
