library(fields)
data(lennon)
image(lennon, col=grey(seq(0,1,,256)) )
Para esa imagen, digamos, estoy interesado en conocer los (valores de los)
pixeles de la frente del señor Lennon.
¿Alguien tendrá una idea de cómo podría proceder?
¡Gracias!

Camping and DBI
Hi,
I''ve been playing around with using DBI instead of ActiveRecord ''cause
I just love to beat myself up! ;) Is this an okay way to do this, or
is there any other more creative ways?
require ''dbi''
module MyApp:Models
class DB
def self.dbh

"no camping required" deployment?
Hi,
So Lennon got me going with my database-less Camping app,
but I''ve just realized that, I have no deployment strategy.
This app is to provide a GUI front end to our FUN3D fluid
flow simulation monster, which is used by ourselves, companies,
universities, hobbyists, and the military. The end result...

CampingConf?
Campers --
In a few weeks there will be a bunch of people in Portland, OR, for a
conference. A long time ago some campers mentioned that might be a
good time for us to get together and hold a mini CampingConf for a few
hours. Is anyone interested? Does anyone want to organize it?
I''m thinking Wednesday night, May 16.
We could possibly get a spot at FreeGeek (not likely since they are

a series of tabbed forms
Hi,
I''ve previously described one of my wish list items,
http://kleb.tadalist.com/lists/public/427170
in
http://blade.nagaokaut.ac.jp/cgi-bin/scat.rb/ruby/ruby-talk/217068
where I basically take a hash of hashes and create
a set of tabbed dialogs for each key of the large hash
where each tab has a form to set each key-value pair
of the embedded hashes.
Toward this end I looked

Hi all,

Does anyone have (know of) a gui for ices , I've got everything
working (i.e. icescast & ices) I'm just bored of manipulating my text
file, A web (php) gui would be much better.
Thanks In Advance,

appended text/data fields
...t adding a linked or imbedded text
field. for speeches, a transcript could be attached
to the audio so that a phrase like 'free at last'
could be searched for to locate King's famous speech.
Same with songs, where searching for 'you may say I'm
a dreamer' would return John Lennon's "Imagine.ogg".
also for songs, maybe there could be some timing info
for the lyrics stored in the text field, so that the
output could be displayed in time with the music to
provide a karoke function. Also a video link? to
flash pics in sequence? or video streams?

Latest Samba Disto for Os390/Unix ?
HI,I would be interested if there is a release of Samba for Os390/Unix
later that 1.9.
(I have tried downloading the 'samba-latest.tar.gz' file from the mirror
site, but as I cannot unzip/untar it,due to not having the 'gzip' program
!).
Therfore I am not sure how compatible it may or may not be with my
Os390/Uss platform.
Thanks for any help received in advance.
John.

Problems copying digital images to Samba Share
I am trying to copy some digital images to a directory on my Redhat 7.3
Samba 2.2.3a-6 server and am getting extra files in the directory. I
have included my SMB.Conf file contents below in case that is relevant.
The files being copied reside on a Windows 2000 workstation and were
created by Jasc Image robot. These files would have been accessed by
both a Windows 2000 machine as well as a Windows

Running something periodically.
Suppose, for a moment, that I have a Camping app. It looks at
something, like an RSS feed of upcoming events, and displays them if
they meet a specified criterion. I look at the index page, it fetches
the feed items and then displays them. Yay. Maybe it also writes them
to a database.
Which is great, so long as I keep looking at the page every so often.
But what do I do while I''m

PUT (and friends) bug?
As far as I can tell, sending an actual HTTP PUT request to a Camping
app will never parse the params out of the request body - or am I
going nuts? This code seems to say only POST''s will parse the request
body:
elsif @method == "post" and \
e.CONTENT_TYPE == "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"
q.u(C.qsp(@in.read))
end
