Hello all, I have 2 identical Dell r510 servers with 10gig card, running centos 6 with samba-3.5.4-68.el6_0.2.x86_64. I setup 16G ramdisk samba share on both and ran cp from local ramdisk to samba ramdisk mount. If I cp 12 1-gig files, I get combined 100MB/s transfer rate. Single file cp maxes out at about 15MB/s. Morning All! Anyone ever tried exporting a StorNext CVFS filesystem from a Linux box??? I?ve got this Samba server (3.5.6) running on CentOS 5.4 and it?s working fine, exporting ext3, nfs and an IBM GPFS filesystem just fine. So I know Samba is good an my configuration is working. Hi There, Debian squeeze, samba 3.3.3-1 I am currently trying to use a samba partition to backup windows machines to, and am always warned that the destination does not support NTFS attributes, hidden attributes and system attributes. Are there any config options to enable these in samba? or does samba not support mapping these to something on the linux side? Any help or links to documentation
