DUNDi precache
Does anyone have any information on how to use DUNDi precaching? Mark Spencer made a post 2 years ago where he hinted it may be possible to configure DUNDi such that you could centralise your DUNDi registration info by using precaching, instead of having each DUNDi peer meshed with every other one... http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/dundi/2004-October/000189.html However, it seems that no

[Asterisk-Dev] Memory Leak in Stable?
Hello, I have a client that has a fairly small installation (20 SIP Phones) that is running Stable. Asterisk appears to be consuming large quantities of memory, and growing uncontrollably to the point where after about 6 weeks the box starts to swap itself to death. I've been keeping my eye on it today, and in the last 12 hours, it has grown by about 8 megabytes, and there has been

Vista on domain... can Samba join without Administration priviledges?
...strator password on the active directory machine and I can't do a: net ads join -U administrator%password is there a way for me to have access to domain resources? Assume that my kerberos setup (krb5.conf) is fine and I can get tickets. A pointer in the right direction would do; I can do the legwork myself. Thanks

When will CentOS Publish Errata?
...ect publishes errata on its CentOS Announce mailing list. In order to import this into a package management system (like Katello on The Foreman), one needs to parse the mailing list and convert it into XML before importing it. This is done to some extent on http://cefs.steve-meier.de/ but some more legwork needs to be done before The Foreman can understand the errata like it does natively for RHN. I have heard rumour that The CentOS project is planning to publish Errata in the same way that Red Hat does, but I haven't been able to find anything on the Internet about this. Does anybody know if Th...

samba_dlz shutting down on named reload
...samba.org/mailman/options/samba > Hi Kristjan, This sounds like the issue I have as per https://lists.samba.org/ archive/samba/2017-October/211662.html My logrotate does a service named reload though. I will try swapping my reload for restart and see if that fixes things. Thank you for your legwork. Kind regards

Any comment on adding #cast and #cast! to ActiveRecord::Relation?
Not getting any love (tender or otherwise) on my pull request<https://github.com/rails/rails/pull/7035>so I thought you folks might like to chip in. What do you think? #cast and #cast! allow you to declare a mapping from generated column names to simplified database column types (i.e. those used in migrations). This way scopes with columns generated in their select lists can also include

[LLVMdev] Getting Started with LLVM
...f LLVM had something similar, it might save new LLVM developers several hours of digging through manuals and Makefiles. A llvm-config script would be absolutely trivial to generate from the current Makefiles, and--if people think it would be a Good Thing--I'm volunteering to do all the legwork. :-) > I asked a similar question here about a month ago and Chris answered: > "make install is lightly tested, but should work. [PROPOSED REMOVAL] PV guest superpage mappings
The PV superpage mapping feature has been in the hypervisor for a while now, but I''m not away of any use of this feature by an upstream guest kernel (e.g., and primarily of interest, pv_ops Linux). Am I mistaken, or is anyone looking into or interested in this? If the feature is unused we should remove it from the hypervisor in this development cycle, as it''s untested and is

virsh snapshot
Hi, I had a 'domain' called APP03. I was performing auto snapshots each night using /usr/bin/virsh snapshot-create APP03 . I then wanted the domain to be called APP01 for clarity's sake, so I did virsh dumpxml APP03 > APP03.xml, edited the name to APP01 and changed the ID. I then did virsh define APP03.xml to get APP01. I have now realised that the qcow2 images are huge (1.1TB

Copeland Engineering Dockmaster
...o change some of the parameters of the device, using a Windows program. I have another CXO host with Windows on it that runs the Copeland Engineering software, with which I can compare if necessary. I expect it won't be hard to get this working with nut, and I'm happy to do a bunch of legwork (commit credits!) in order to get this thing working for my purposes - and I appreciate your help, Charles.

Problems Connecting to SQL Server
I''ve been asked to make my app work on Windows Server 2003 and connect to SQL Server. I''m having trouble getting connected to SQL Server. It fails as follows: is not a class/module C:\InstantRails-1.0\ruby\lib\ruby\site_ruby\1.8\dbi\dbi.rb:499 in ''load_driver'' So, I went through the instructions on the Rails/MSSQL page. I installed the ADO.rb stuff. Also,

How to rid yourself of Broadvoice

After two months of no service, dozens of e-mails and phone calls, and canned "we don't support Asterisk" responses this finally got the job done. American Express is doing the rest of the legwork in getting my $30+ back for the entire month the service didn't work.

Followup to NetBIOS scope/domain browse list bug (not a solution)
So, a few updates, after a little more legwork: First, samba 2.0.6 doesn't fix the problem. I didn't think that it would, as (a) the change log didn't mention anything about it, and (b) the CVS system didn't mention anything about it on the few spots that I intuited I may find such a note if it WERE fixed. Second, after tr...
