What rigs do you folks use to listen to your music? I have a P-III 500 with Altec Lansing speakers in the dining room and a P-II 350 with Labtec speakers in the Guestroom/office. Sorry, I can't remember what model the Lansings are off the top of my head. The Labtec speakers are fairly cheap. I have a PCI ensonique sound card in the P-III system. I'd like to get some feedback from users of USB headsets as to what they like/dislike about the unit they own (manufacturer/model number). I'm looking to buy some. Is there already a thread somewhere or a review (I tried to find one with no luck), discussing this topic? Any advantages/disadvantages to using a USB headset over a regular headset slaved off the internal sound card?

Anyone got any pointers on where to find USB handsets or headsets that can be used as the audio device on a softphone? Later..

Anybody have a suggestion for a nice inexpensive headset for mobile users on a laptop with a softphone? What are people using for softphones on M$ platforms? I have been using the x-lite client. Is there something better out there? -- http://www.umich2.com

I don't quite follow you? There are USB headsets that don't require a soundcard at all. They have a built in soundcard which (I suppose) could be better than the crap they build into most laptops.
