Barplots: Editing the frequency x-axis names
Hi I have a timeSeries object (X) with monthly returns. I want to display the returns with a barplot, which I can fix easily. But my problem is labaling the x-axis, if I use the positions from the timeseries It gets very messy. I have tried rotating and changing the font size but it doesn't do the trick. I think the optimal solution for my purpose is too only display every second or third date, pherhaps only use every 12 month. But how do I do...

Parallal Building?
I''m trying to index ~130,000 documents [soon to grow to about 500,000 documents] and I''m wondering if its possible to combine ferret databases or in some other way split up the building process. Normally, indexing 130k documents wouldn''t be that painful except that there are different types of links between these documents and they are not absolute (so for example

[LLVMdev] Slight troubles following "Getting Started" instructions

Just make it consistent so people who don't know their way around yet can quickly find what they're looking for. I agree that binaries should be first if they should

As a suggestion, what about having "Common Uses for LLVM" that list out what the LLVM n00b needs if he wants to... (*) Get hello.c to compile and run in LLVM bitcode (This is the "what's the absolute minimum I need to do to see this thing in action?" question.) (*) Use LLVM as a back-end for a custom language or interpreter (This is the "OK now that I've seen the

Problem with Playback sound in 64 bit machine
Sorry for re-posting this message - I am trying to run the latest stable Asterix version 1.2.4. on 64 bit amd procesor. Things are working but the playback sounds that I hear when tring to connect over IAX are of very high frequency. i.e a sentence which should finish in 4 secs finishes in much lesser time. Where can be the problem? any configuration issue? Thanks in advance. -------------- next

OK, counter-examples. I am channeling Joe, an average C/C++/C#/Java developer who's heard about LLVM and is curious to know what it is. Joe thinks.... I surf to http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#quickstart because I am interested in this LLVM stuff. 1, 2, 3. What documentation? What am I supposed to read? Aaah! This is scary! 4. Install either 4.0 or 4.2. Which one do I want? Which
