Yeah, my ports are up to date. I prefer to build some things by hand though. ;-) I updated libtool and got a little further. :-) - Thanks Karl!
Now the next problem is within my libogg installation.
The installation was successful, even checked all files, but icecast fails to ./configure because...

0.0.37 release goals
Hi
Could we set some release goals for 0.0.37? I suggest we release sooner
rather than later to put the various little build problems behind us.
So my only high-priority item for 0.037 at the moment is to port
Scintilla to Linux and OS X. I will gladly accept other feature, bugfix
and doc patches.
Anything else we''d like to be sure to do?

compile error
Hello,
I hope this is the place to bug ppl about compile errors. So here I go.
I downloaded the latest through CVS last night and ran ./autogen.sh according to the manual and ran into the following error. Does anyone happen to have a fix for it?
I am on FreeBSD 4.6 Stable.
Thanks in advance,
Till

thing I see here if the list gets split. No one would post to -newbies,

I for one am immensely grateful that this list is heavily traffic'd with OT,

WIne - HL2 and cursor
I'm having an issue with WINE and HL2 and games on steam. I am a new Linux user (sorry). I can't get HL2 or any games to go true fullscreen to cover my panels on the top and bottom and also in Audiosurf and HL2 and whatnot I can't get the cursor to register properly. It's always above where the actual cursor is on the screen. Is there a way to fix these 2 issues?

in the FreeBSD ports there already is something for ices2 and icecast2.
it's a little on the old side (from november 2002).
cvsup the latest ports tree, though, you should update your box to 4.7
as well ... or 4.8-rc if you really want to be l33t.
i've asked the port maintainer to at least put the oddsock yp hack in
there or at least to update the port, but he hasn't yet.
boink.

New list ?
Hi,
Taking this to a new thread.
Thoughts on getting a new list started up ? Should it be
centos-sysadmin or centos-infra ? Are we going to then restrict it to
admin/infra related chatter ? in which case, does the eyeball density on
this list reduce for that sort of content ?
How about the politics and news stuff that gets posted to this list.
And how would those things be addressed with

Checking remote servers
I''d like to hear some suggestions about securely administering a
system remotely. Here''s the application: a project is going to
scatter some server machines around the US. The server machines will
be running Linux, with the only network servers being a custom
application.
Ignoring the separate question of physical security, how can I
