simple questions about R
...s NT.)
1) How do I time the execution of a function/program in R
for Windows? Is there the equivalent of a dos.time function?
2) Can anyone send me details on the random number generator
used by R (period, etc.). Also, why is it different from
the SuperDuper RNG in S?
3) Will there be an l1fit function in future releases
of R?
Thanks in advance. FC.

I need R for working with calibration curves, and i dont know what is the best
package for it.
I need some packages for fitting nonlinear models.
I would like install thes fuctions: rreg(); lmsfit(); l1fit(); and loess.
How i can download and install it?

R-beta: wish: hist() returning breaks and counts
Hi,
would it be possible to change the hist() function in future R Versions to
accept a "plot=F" parameter (like hist() in S it should return a list with
"breaks" and "counts" in this case). This change should be very simple.
