SIP in the Philippines
...ver sees it make a request.
Is it possible that port 5060 is being blocked ? I'm unclear as to whether
or not the required port must indeed be 5060 or if Asterisk is somehow able
to recognize SIP / UDP on any incoming port and correctly port forward it.
They're using a SPA-1001.
Thanks,

How do I get the username in channel_input_port_open
...'s IP and is getting forwarded to RemoteClient to Port 23... Is there
a way to determine the connection's user name?
I'm trying to write a solution to the old "how do I limit user's forwarded
connections" problem, so if one already exists then let me know.

country/city codes
Some country codes are three digits long. Some are two.
e.g. UK 44 , Bermuda 441
Does anyone know a formula for determining which part of a dialled number is the country code and city code ?

Asterisk and SER
Why is it that the wiki indirectly recommends SER (or another proxy) out in front of Asterisk. If Asterisk can use radius, and provide the rest of AAA they why ? Incidentall\y, I'm not familiar with network configuration really, although I do understand most of the basics.

VirtualBox virtual machine hangs after ISOlinux upgrade 4.05->5.10 and up.
Hello,
I have specialized linux installation which uses ISOLinux bootloader. Recently isolinux version has changed from 4.05 to 5.10. From that time there is a problem with VirtualBox VM, It crashes (guru meditation) on attempt to boot from HDD or hangs on installation from CD.
Strange part is, the very same ISO on ESXi VM works like a charm. Also burned on CD and started on "real"

[RFC] New shadow paging code
We (Michael Fetterman, George Dunlap and I) have been working over the
last while on a full replacement for Xen''s shadow pagetable support.
This mail contains some design notes, below; a patch against
xen-unstable, giving a snapshot of the current state of the new shadow

privileged domU
Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to launch domU''s as privileged, so
that they could, for example, map some foreign memory from another domU.
If this is indeed possible, does anyone know where to activate this
feature?
Thanks,
Ryan
