Rename volume?
I noticed that there once was a rename command but it was removed. Do you know why? And is there a way to do it manually? Thanks! -- OStR Dr. R. dimnames does not match array extent
Dear R help-list, I am trying to calculate Monmoniers algorithm. I have 3 data sets: coordinates (coord), distance matrix (comdist) and geographical distance matrix (geodist). I consistently get the error " dimnames does not match array extent". However, when I use the function "structure" I get the following results: > str(coord) 'data.frame': 114 obs. of 3

"Ghost" print job.
Hi all, I'm currentlly using samba-2.2.2 together with LPRng-3.7.4, and have a problem with a printjob that woun't go away. I use samba for a small file/printserver for 10 people using win98se clients, and it's been working very nicely. As I upgraded from samba-2.0.6, I sent out a testpage from one of the win98se clients to the two printers (hpljet 6L, Epson stylus photo 750) we have

You didn't give me some packages, so now I'm giving you some! R, TexLive, LyX, Gnumeric, etc.
I want up-to-dateish versions of TexLive, R, gnumeric, emacs, but on a more-or-less stable base of Centos-5.2. I asked for packages in this, but got no answers. So now I've built them and will let you try them if you want. I used the source packages from Fedora 8 and 9. I wanted TexLive because many of us have jumped ship to Ubuntu Linux 8.04 and it does offer TexLive, and the compatability

Slow, Incorrect Group Resolution through Winbind
Hello. I am observing some strange behavior on a Linux system that has joined a Windows Active Directory domain using the Samba suite. Our servers are based on Ubuntu v12.04 but have kernel v3.12.17 and Samba v4.3.6. The problem that I'm trying to understand is that group name resolution through Winbind occasionally fails. Here's an example where one group name could not be resolved. This

Rename volume?
Hi! Is it possible to rename a gluster volume? If so, what is to be done? (Context: I'm trying to recover from a misconfiguration by copying all contents of a volume to a new one. After that the old volume will be removed and the new one needs to be renamed to the old name.) Thanks for you help! R?diger -- OStR Dr. R. Kupper Kepler-Gymnasium Freudenstadt

Slow, Incorrect Group Resolution through Winbind
Thanks for the help and suggestions. I've removed the deprecated options "idmap uid" and "idmap gid" and explicitly set "idmap config * : range" and "idmap config * : backend." New output from testparm is at the end of this message. (But note that previously I was only setting "idmap uid" and "idmap gid" in the configuration files,

CentOS 5 install won't make with shared libs enabled
Hi, I've been trying to get a shared library version of the R package(version 2.12.1) installed on a CentOS 5 system. (It installs fine without but other packages demand shared libs - namely Rapache). I've tried this with yum but don't know of any flags to set to tell it to installl with shared libs enabled. I then tried a local R install as non-root with source packages: after

sd_max_throttle
Hello, we are using hardware array and its vendor recommends the following setting in /etc/system: set sd:sd_max_throttle = <value> or set ssd:ssd_max_throttle = <value> Is it possible to monitor *somehow* whether the variable becomes sort of bottleneck ?
