Summary: # of users of R, and biological examples of the use of R: addendum
I apologize for accidentally omitting some of the answers I got; here they are: ************** I use R regularly in my research in the pharmaceutical industry. I have used it for projects ranging from sample size and power curve estimation, analysis of laboratory data with mixed effects models, to analysis of mass spectrometry data. I have helped biologists here install and use it in limited

Samba 3.0.4 Understanding Winbind
Hi, I am using Samba 3.0.4 on a server in a Windows NT Domain. I am reading about the "net" commands. I'm trying to better understand the purpose of net groupmaps. I have joined the Samba server to the NT domain. I can use wbinfo and getent to view users and groups from the domain. I use wbinfo -u to list the users. I

Why is this? Does this mean that the Domain accounts in Samba are not really associated with the

Cups, samba and temporary print files
This is probably more of a Cups issue, however, I have a question about the spool files from sharing Cups printers in Samba. The spool directory on my Samba server seems to be holding print job files from past print jobs. I'm wondering what is the proper way to eliminate these files? Any help is appreciated. Tim

Removing a Point And Print printer
I have a Samba 3.0.4 server that has several point and print printers which are functioning just fine. I have added another printer, an HP BusinessJet 1100d, and attempted to load the drivers on the Samba server for that printer (for WinNT, Win2K and WinXP). However, now, when attempting to check the properties of that printer from a WinXP client (pre SP2) I only get an error and the properties
