How to remove extra spaces introduced (?) by write.table
...e="test.txt", row.names=FALSE, na="NaN", quote=FALSE) where out.obj is the data.frame A simplified example with three columns Sample1\t10\t10 Sample2\t*1\t*1 The * denotes the extra space, \t is the tab used as separator (a real example can be found at http://biobase.biotech.kth.se/~valtteri/test.txt) I need to remove these spaces as they are not compatible with the down-stream application. I'd prefer not to remove these manually using for example MS-Word as the number of files generated is fairly large. I verified the modes of the problematic columns and they are,...

Wish To Join Xapian:-)
Dear Friends, This is Shao from National University of Singapore(NUS). I'm currently doing my exchange study in Royal Institute of Technology(KTH), Sweden. IR is really interesting to me. I've taken a Information Retrieval course during the exchange study here in KTH http://www.csc.kth.se/utbildning/kth/kurser/DD2476/ir12/labblydelser/assignment2. The Weighting Schemes and Learn to Rank projects in Xapian sound very relevant and interes...

compile with KTH-KRB4
Hello, Has anyone tried to compile Openssh with KTH-KRB4? I tried using: ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh \ --with-gnome-askpass --with-tcp-wrappers \ --with-ipv4-default \ --with-kerberos4=/usr/athena but it complains that it cannot find krb.h (which is in /usr/ath...

OpenSSH, Kth kerberos, and Digital Unix
I've compiled OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 with Kerberos 4 from Kth (1.0.4). We use AFS heavily and need the AFS token passing features. This combo is working great on Irix and NetBSD/{alpha,i386}, but it's dying on Digital Unix (4.0f and 5.0). "ssh -v hostname" dumps core in des_pcbc_encrypt() after "Trying Kerberos authentication". My...

KTH krb4 and OpenSSL conflict building OpenSSH 3.0.2p1
Hi, I configured OpenSSH 3.0.2p1 with ./configure --disable-suid-ssh --with-pam --with-kerberos4=/usr/athena \ --with-afs=/usr/afsws --with-ipaddr-display \ --with-ssl-dir=/afs/bi/v/@sys/libraries/openssl/latest My "latest" OpenSSL is 0.9.6a. KTH krb4 is 1.1. When linking the binaries, the KTH krb4 libdes conflicts with the OpenSSL libdes. It seems to be possible to get around this like this: where make emits gcc -o ssh-keygen ssh-keygen.o -L. -Lopenbsd-compat/ -L/afs/bi/v/@sys/libraries/openssl/latest/lib -L/usr/athena/lib -L/usr/afs...

OpenSSH w/ kth-krb4 on AIX
Hi, I'm suffering from a memory corruption problem when compiling OpenSSH 3.0.2p1 with kth-krb4 1.1 on AIX 4.3.2 and 4.3.3. The symptom is that the file name gets zeroed out during ssh key generation, for example during "make install": Generating public/private rsa1 key pair. open failed: No such file or directory. ^ filename normally goes here When I remove krb4 from...

modifying Openssh config script for KTH-KRB (fwd)
Dear OpenSSH developers, Hi, taking the liberty of sending this to your mailing list in the hope someone will be able to help. The KTH version of Kerberos 4 was the only one I was able to find. In case you don't want to look at all the stuff below, the situation is briefly that I am trying to compile openssh with kerberos 4 support, which it apparently has. However, it can't find krb.h, which is right there. And it compil...

[LLVMdev] GSoC on LLVM usability?
Hello all, My name is Thibault Raffaillac, degree student at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden (in double-degree partnership with Ecole Centrale Marseille, France). I am currently carrying my degree thesis on the usability of compilers, and as such would be very much interested in contributing to LLVM through a Google Summer of Code. The task I would like to propose is imp...

OpenSSH and support for KTH-Krb4
Hello, I have tried to compile openssh-3.1p1 and then two later snapshots. It seems that I can not have support for KTH-Krb4, according to this errorlist from make: gcc -o ssh ssh.o sshconnect.o sshconnect1.o sshconnect2.o sshtty.o readconf.o clientloop.o -L. -Lopenbsd-compat/ -R/usr/local/ssl/lib -L/usr/local/ssl/lib -L/usr/local/lib -R/usr/local/lib -L/usr/athena/lib -R/usr/athena/lib -lssh -lopenbsd-compat -lre...

Variable length datafile import problem
Dear all, I am stuck the reading of a file which has 100s of rows and variable column counts. The tab-limited data file looks something like: Some_Text 1 3 123 1534 -119 1010 178 Some_Taxt 1 3 133 1434 -219 1010 178 Some_Tsxt 1 3 244 1334 -319 1010 178 Some_Tfxt 1 3 153 1234 -419 1010 178 Some_Trxt 1

[plyr] Moving average filter with plyr
Dear all, I'm stuck with a problem using plyr to process a rather large junk of data. What I'm trying to do is applying a moving average to all the subparts of the dataframe (the example data can be found here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2414056/testData.Rdata). require(plyr) load("testData.Rdata") applyfilter<-function(x){ return(filter(x,rep(1/5, times=5))) }

MCLUST Covariance Parameterization.
..., EII, VII, VVI, etc.) relates to the covariance matrix. The parameterization of the covariance matrix makes use of the method of decomposition in Banfield and Rraftery (1993) and Fraley and Raftery (2002) where Sigma_k = lambda_k*D_k*A_k*D_k^' where Sigma_k is the covariance matrix for the kth (k=1,...,G), lambda_k is the kth groups constant of proportionality, D_k is the orthogonal matrix of eigenvectors for the kth group, and A_k is a diagonal matrix whose elements are proportional to the eigenvalues. The parameterization of the covariance matrix Sigma_k depends on the distribution (wh...
