Help with R-Calling forth csv.
Hi, I'm working on R trying to find a distribution that fits data from a csv file. The csv contains data on pressure exerted by a certain vehicle in terms of pressure [kPa] and I have around 3000 data points. I want to call forth this csv and by using (fitdistr) or if you could recommend a function to use, get a plot of my csv and the distributions I can compare it to (Weibull, chi, beta, etc). Now im a complete amateur with the program R, and I can't write a c...

....org/packages/raster/versions/2.6-7/topics/raster <https://www.rdocumentation.org/packages/raster/versions/2.6-7/topics/raster> We can't tell what is in the ncdf file from what you report other than it has 4 bands (layers) and that the first is called 'Volumetric.water.content.at..33.kPa' If you want to know more about the what is in the file, then I suggest you use the ncdf4 package to open the file and explore it's contents - you should get a clear picture of it's contents from that. Something like this (untested)... library(ncdf4) x <- nc_open(file.nc) x nc_clos...

geoR, variofit
Hello All! I calculate a variogram using the function variog (package geoR) afterwards I use variofit to fit a spherical model (see code below). Now I just changed the units of the variable (in this case MPa to kPa just a factor of 1000). If I do so, I get a different fit and therefore different ranges etc. Why? The semi-variance is of course 6 orders of magnitude higher but the values are the same. So from my point of view it should be the same fit. Maybe there is a reason for this I do not get. H...

Managing a Rails project
Can someone point me to some good ideas about managing Rails development - like what would be a good way to document all the models and controllers and methods that might result if several people are prototyping on different parts of a system, and what might be a good structure for pushing back code into SVN as scaffolds are turned into real projects - that sort of thing. I''m
