Configuring TDM400 in Australia
Hi, all
I have installed TDM400 with 1 FXS and 1 FXP ports.
Now I am goig through documentation on how to configure it.
It mentions 3 protocols: Loopstart, Groundstart and Koolstart. Which one do
I use?
Can someone send me sample zaptel.conf file for Australia? This will save me
some time and will be used as a working example.
Thanks,
Rudolf

little ADSI problem
...st busy signal. I have
also tried this with the GetCPEID application, and that also is returned
with a -1. Digium said I should try doing that with the voicemailman
application, and I did so, and it did not change anything.
The channel does have adsi=yes and rx and txgain set to 0.0. I tried
koolstart, loopstart, and groundstart. Kool and loop both did the above,
and groundstart, I couldn't get the line to be off-hook.
Anyone have any ideas?

FXO probs in Aus. Should I give up?
...;borrowed' from an ex-employer and have configured some slots for FXS to
run back-to-back with the X101p. It works first time, every time. Only
difference I can think of between them is that the voice switch is from
the US and therefore uses US tones, etc. ??
I have tried both Loopstart and Koolstart signalling. Groundstart will
not load when I use 'ztcfg' for some reason. So is there something I'm
missing. This used to work fine. Has something changed in the zaptel
driver? Are there any undocumented settings I can tweak to possible get
this working again?

Can Asterisk provide Answer Supervision signalling to a channel b ank via T1?
...e bank - in all other ways they're loop
start trunks. Is there a way to get Asterisk to correctly present the Answer
state in that bit? I believe what I'm looking for is FXO/DPT (Dial Pulse
Terminate). The central office half would be the FXS/DPO (Dial Pulse
Originate) side.
I've tried Koolstart, but the only time it toggles the A bit is upon
disconnect and then only for about half a second. Which seems to be an
attempt at open loop disconnect supervision.
I think what I'm looking for is a bit progression like this:

Zaptel and Linux Distros
Hey all,
Just a quick question. Are there any known issues using the zaptel
drivers on different linux distros? ie: is a 2.4 kernel the only
requirement?
I ask because I have an X100P i'm still trying to get work properly and
I'm thinking there is nothing wrong with the card itself. It's setup
correctly as far as I can tell and it used to work when I was using

Channel Bank configuration
Hello,
I don't have any experience with channel banks and would appreciate any
feedback on my theory outlined below:
We have a single T1 entering the building with channels 1-12 being voice
lines and 13-24 being a 768k internet connection. This T1 terminates to
an Adit 600 (T1-1).
Here's what I know. Channels 11-12 go out the Adit 600's 25-pair
connector to a wiring block (and
