post-delivery virus scan
...help detect and remove the infected messages after they?ve been delivered to users? mailboxes, I created a small script that iterates the INBOX and Junk mailbox directories, scans recent messages for viruses, and deletes them if found. The source of my script (run via cron) is here: https://gitlab.koehn.com/snippets/9
Unfortunately Dovecot doesn?t like it if messages are deleted (dbox) out from under it. I tried a doveadm force-resync on the folder containing the messages, but it seems Dovecot is still unhappy. At least on the new version (2.2.26.0) it doesn?t crash; 2.2.25 would panic and coredu...

...ersions of solr. I grabbed 6.3.0 from apache and the instructions are no longer working, e.g., there?s no `solr/conf/schema.xml` file to replace; the `start.jar` has moved, etc.
Just wondering if there?s somewhere else I should look, or if I should just hack it together on my own.
Thanks!

Samba killing windows spool service
Hi folks,
Whilst viewing printers on a samba 2.2.5 (just been upgraded from 2.2.4)
server, both an NT and W2K machine had the print spooler service killed off
at the same time. I have been reliably informed that this doesn't just
happen like that! Any ideas as to why this would happen, as its a bit of a
major prob.
Thanks a lot,

rsync unexpectedly removing ALL files
I am using rsync with --files-from option with a file named 'rsync.in' that contains 37K+ directories that are queried from a database. One of the directories in the database actually looked like this:
/home/usr/directory/./
Probably some sort of typo when the directory was entered. When performing the rsync command below, this one directory caused all files on the destination server to

Samba Printing with CUPS
Hi,
I'm a bit new to the whole Samba printing thing and need some help. I am
running Caldera OpenLinux with Samba 2.2.4 and CUPS 1.1.10. I have
successfully managed to upload print drivers to the Samba server from a
Windows NT client. I have then managed to add the printers to several
windows clients without downloading drivers to them. This appeared to work
fine, with excellent

It is my hope that you (or your team) may be able to provide a special
