Apps that officially support Wine?
http://www.cockos.com/reaper/ is the home page for an app that officially supports Wine; it says "Requires Windows 98/ME/NT/2k/XP/Vista/WINE" Anyone know of other such apps? Do we already have a list of them somewhere? If we don't, maybe we should start one on the wiki page. It would be kind of neat to watch that list grow. - Dan

Anyone with RedHat Subscription?
Does Anyone with a RedHat subscription able to give a hint as to what the solution to the following knowledgebase article is: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2801051 I'm having a similar issue with an SFP on a Centos host, and am searching for a way to view Optical RX/TX Power on the SFP. From the switch side, I'm not seeing any RX Power from the Centos host. Thanks in advance Giles

[LLVMdev] AMD IL Code Generator Backend for OpenCL
...t tests and an LLVM 3.0 compatible version, and finally a TOT version for inclusion into the tree. I look forward to any constructive feedback and will as answer any questions that I can. For information on the sections of an AMD OpenCL binary, please refer here: http://developer.amd.com/support/KnowledgeBase/Lists/KnowledgeBase/DispForm.aspx?ID=115 The attached zip file provides the code generator, a patch to LLVM 2.9 that adds the target triple, and a few tests. Again this version is not for submission into the tree, but for people to experiment, examine and provide feedback outside of AMD. Here are...

Calling all Hackers
Hey guys. I have a server that is owned by me and can confirm through servint that it is owned by me. I would like to do a penetration test and of course to allow you to upload files on the server and kind of trash it to the point where it is always restarting and running out of memory etc etc. This is going to be mainly script kiddie stuff, however will be able to get you hired on with me for

Snom Phones Registration/Failover Feature
...pretty decent way of doing failover (reminds me of radius). It beats using Heartbeat and IP Takeover and all the hassle you (could) have with this solution. I was reading in the documentation about the SNOM phones (mainly 300) but I did not find anything in the users-pdf's or on there knowledgebase/website which would tell me if this is possible, there is something for failover configuration but it is not explained at all. It's highly appreciated if someone with insight could explain to me or point me to the right documentation on how/if this works with SNOM's. Thank you, best r...

New Forum
How do people feel about eliminating the list serv in favor of the forum? Or limiting the list serv to news? I have one vendor I work with that has a knowledgebase, a forum, and two mailing lists - with much overlap of topics. It is truly enough to drive you totally crazy. I'm not suggesting anything. Just bringing it up. Geoff

OCFS and multipathing
...moothly now (thanks again for all the help so far), but I only have single connections between the servers and the RAID array. The servers each have two Qlogic HBAs, and I'd like to find out if there's any reasonable way to implement multipathing. The platform is RHEL 3, and Red Hat's knowledgebase indicates that they strongly recommend against using the existing multipathing features in the Qlogic drivers (supposedly some bad failure scenarios are possible). I'm also looking at the md driver's multipath capability, but I suspect that it is not cluster-safe because the md devices hav...

Hi all, Does anyone know if this USB to SATA / e-SATA adapter will work on Linux? http://www.vantecusa.com/front/product/view_detail/266 Their website and knowledgebase doesn't say anything about it, so I'm checking the list to try my luck :) -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers

MultipleUsersOnConnection, WTSE
There is a new regedit file in Samba 2.0.6 for Windows Terminal Server Edition that sets a MultipleUsersOnConnection value to 1. I can't find any documentation about this regedit in the source package or using a search of the Samba website. In Micro$oft's knowledgebase articles Q190162, Q233082, Q231798 and Q191370, it would appear that the value should be set to 0 rather than 1 for the best effect from the Samba point of view. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks. -- --------------------------------------------------------------- Jay D. Anderson http://...

Mounting Network Storage Issues
I have an Iomega NAS 1TB drive that I am using as just kind of a file sharing solution between all of my computers. Of course it is on a timed backup with my server however it just serves as a temporary solution for a bigger problem ( IE 15 different puters of all various OS Flavors). However I am not able to connect to any network storage server such as Windows PC's or NAS Storage using map

VoicePulse OpenAccess
Has anyone been able to get * working with VoicePulse OpenAccess (SIP not IAX). I have found a ton of information about VoicePulse Connect but very little on the proper * settings for OpenAccess. Tried contacting VP with no response. If anyone has this working, can they share their extensions.conf and sip.conf files? Better yet, if it could be posted on the Wiki. Keith
