my scala markdown implementation
Hi, I have written my own implementation of markdown in Scala. I only later realized there is already one ( <http://tristanhunt.com/projects/knockoff/> ), but I put quite some work into mine and I think it is never bad to have alternatives, so I wanted to release it anyway. I want to use the same BSD License as the original markdown, but before I put it out into the wild I wanted to ask

x100p buying advice
...a Wildcard FXO: Generic Clone The X101P (note the 101, not 100) is a Low-end version of X100P which uses low grade chips Found a Wildcard FXO: X101P Authentic, Original X100P Speaks for Itself! Found a Wildcard FXO: X100P From what I gather clone's and knockoffs will have trouble with callerid. Is the "Found a Wildcard FXO: X100P" enough to establish full featured hardware (assuming an honest seller)? Is there another recommended source besides ebay in this price range? Thanks

tdm400p static - out of ideas
Hello, Over the past several weeks, we have been having an intermittant problem with our deployment of a TDM400P card (4 fxo). ?We have tried many things, and the problem still re-occurs. The Problem: Occasionally (every 48 hours), the TDM400p card will stop answering incoming calls on ALL fxo ports. ?Attempts to send outbound calls on any Zap channel will result in hearing a loud

How to achieve Google Reader-like layout in Rails?
Hi I''m trying to create a web application with a UI that is fundamentally similar to Google Reader, in Rails 3 and probably with some Javascript toolkit (jQuery?). I''m new to web development (my background is in desktop application development), however, and after some experimentation with CSS layout I''m frankly unsure of how to achieve the desired layout. Therefore

Breaking Ice with Ruby
Hey introduce yourself. Me: Dominic Occupation: PHP/Javascript background - but excited about Ruby on Rails after hearing that Geekazoid David show it off. Fear: That I invest everything into ROR, it becomes a hit website, something weird happens and crashes forever, and the competition scoops up my customers with their knockoff version running on, of course, PHP... Dream: a VC that gives

[Fxo] Digium TDM01B vs. OpenVox A400P01?
Hello If someone had the opportunity of trying those two analog cards, how do they compare? Digium's sells for $150 while OpenVox's sells for $95. Thanks.

New Installed X100p
Hi Tzafrir, I am not sure what to look for, so I haveattached both the contents of /var/log/kern.log as well as the outputof dmesg. If you are looking for something specific, perhaps I can grepfor it and send you a smaller version. I have attached these as a tar ball to get below the 40K limit at which moderator approval is required. Thanks for the help. > Date: Fri, 7 Sep 2007 10:26:11

Time to beg on my knees for help!!!
Specs: Fedora Core 3. Dual P3 600 (Dell PEdge 1300) SCSI Disks 1x X100P (channel 1) 1x TDM20 (channels 2+3) 1x Knockoff X100P (channel 4) I am looking to have all local and all toll free calls go outbound through the Copper line, and all long-distance and international to go out through the Vonage line. This way I can eliminate LD on my home line, and pay minimal LD charges through

Shoulda issue: no more "should have_instance_methods" ?
I''m using Shoulda. After copying the code here.... .... http://joshuaclayton.github.com/code/2009/07/14/should-act-as-list.html.... into my test_helper file so I can test acts_as_list, I came across issues. For one I realized I had to get rid of the _ between the "should" and "have" in past cases, but here, I get this error when I run my unit test:

Network access speed.
Good afternoon all, I have a few questions, and just joined the list and plan on staying. I had 2 Samba servers at work, both running apache, etc, that we develop on from work and at home over a vpn. My vpn upload speed is 25K, and at one time windows 2000 could save a document in less than 4 seconds from across the vpn using textpad. We recently downgraded our crappy 7.1 redhat versions to 6.2

Connecting a Rolm CBX to Asterisk via T1?
Hi all, So I'm trying to work on this complex fax server setup, and part of it involves connecting my asterisk server to my Rolm CBX switch, via a T1 line. I plan on using Asterisk simply as a T1-PRI Bridge to IAXmodem (which in turn, activates HylaFax+ to handle the faxing). So far, though, I don't think I'm getting 100% of the way there. When dialing the fax extension from my

Everyone wants a RoR framework
It seems like everyone now has a RoR type framework: Perl: http://dev.catalyst.perl.org/ PHP: http://cakephp.org/ Python: http://www.django.com ASP.NET: http://www.castleproject.org/index.php/Main_Page etc., etc. Has a revolution begun with the birth of these "Web 2.0" frameworks? Its going to be interesting when the tech media begins its mass hype like it did SOAP, XML, etc. a

Qs about FXO/FXS cards
Hello. I am going to be putting together my first * system using FXO/FXS interfaces. All the systems I have set up thus far have been pure VoIP setups. The system I need to set up should have 3 FXO interfaces and 1 FXS interface, as well as several SIP phones. I have noticed people complaining about Digium's TDM cards - are these isolated incidents or are these cards unreliable? I intend to
