Element.getDimensions
Hi all,
should it be considered a bug that Element.getDimensions returns the
offsetWidth and offsetHeight properties from elemens having not
display none, but clientWidth and clientHeight from elements with
display none?
Or is it a feature?

Is it possible to configure libvirt's MAC generation?

my use case.)
Read on for why I want to do this ...
I have a somewhat unusual use case. I am working with the OpenShift
bare metal "IPI" installation process, which is documented here:
https://openshift-kni.github.io/baremetal-deploy/4.4/Deployment.html
At a high level, the installation process goes like this:
1. Install RHEL 8 on the "provisioner" node.
2. Configure a couple of bridges on the provisioner node, which will be
used by the "bootstrap VM" (see below).
3. Create...

Fwd: Tinc with DPDK
Hello Tinc guys,
I was wondering if somebody has had the intend to develop a tinc version
using DPDK and KNI type interface to see the increase in term of speed
by running everything in userland?
Do you think it may be something interesting? I see some of my use cases
where it could be really fun to have TINC VPN running underĀ DPDK....
Thank you for your feedback.

smbpasswd doesn't work
On my Samba-server (normal) users aren't abled to change their password.
When they use smbpasswd they are asked to insert the old password, the new
pasword and to confirm the new password. After the confirmation of the new
password they receive an error:
machine 127.0.0.1 rejected the password change: Error was : RAP86: The
specified password is invalid.

samba very slow
Hi,
I'm using FreeBSD 4.8 and samba 2.2.8 on a Pentium 2 (dual processor, 600
MHz, 512 MB memory) and at this moment everything is working, but I've one
serious problem:
I've made an filesystem /data with some shares like /public, /temp,
/projects etc.
I'm now copying a 170 MB file from my local harddisk to a samba share.
Normally this should take less then 30 seconds, at

Unix password Sync
Ive just discovered that my previous email is wrong - the password sync
does in fact work under Solaris fine. What is happening however is that
when I create a new account, and call smbpasswd $user as root, it only
updates the SMB password and not the Unix password as well.
I though I could change my call to /bin/passwd in my new user creation
scrip with /usr/local/samba/bin/smbpasswd -a, but as

roaming profiles: login/logout takes too much time
Hi,
Im using roaming profiles on a FreeBSD 4.7 server for all the Win2K clients
on the network. At this moment only 1 client is working on the domain.
The roaming profiles are working OK, but it takes such a long time (2 or 3
minutes) to login or to logout. The server is quick enough (dual processor
1Ghz, 512 MB memory, 230 GB harddisk), but why does this take so much time?
It's very
