firefox-1.0.2-1.4.1.centos4 unstable?
Has anyone else noticed that firefox is less stable after the recent security update? I'm getting several occurrences per day of "just goes poof," i.e. probably seg fault. -- Collins When I saw the Iraqi people voting three weeks ago, 8 million of them, it was the start of a new Arab world.... CentOS Convert Question
Hi, First, I want to say that I have fallen in love with CentOS4. I have been using RedHat since the 5.x days. After RedHat dropped the stable system to go to a unstable system and a Enterprise system I felt like I was being left out in the cold. I quickly found out about WhiteBox and used it for quite a while. Then I learned about CentOS...and switched to it for my server needs. I have

Install Trouble
I've download the 4 CD ISO images from 3 different mirrors, tried burning the ISO's on different computers, and I still get the same errors. When I go to boot up with the CD1, I eventually get a Call Trace and then a kernel panic: not syncing: fatal exception in interrupt. It points to the CDROM or the CD itself. I can boot up with Knoppix and Mepis fine. The other odd thing is

Yum problem CentOS 3.3?
I''m still using CentOS 3.3 as our install mechanism, then adding some packages from a tarball of RPMs we need. Then I run # yum update yum which sometimes takes a while. Yesterday it took many hours. I like to run these from behind a firewall in our office before taking the server to the datacenter, but the delay meant a whole day''s delay in our trip to the datacenter

The CentOS Team has been contacted by representatives of Red Hat's hired legal team regarding the use of Red Hat Trademarks on www.centos.org. (Full Email follows.) While the CentOS team feels we are using Red Hat's marks in a fair and legal manner, we have no choice
