[RFC PATCH v3 0/3] Enable virtio_net to act as a backup for a passthru device
...he point that not everybody is >using NM. Can be done in NM, networkd or other network management tools. Even easier to do this in teamd and let them all benefit. Actually, I took a stab to implement this in teamd. Took me like an hour and half. You can just run teamd with config option "kidnap" like this: # teamd/teamd -c '{"kidnap": true }' Whenever teamd sees another netdev to appear with the same mac as his, or whenever teamd sees another netdev to change mac to his, it enslaves it. Here's the patch (quick and dirty): Subject: [patch teamd] teamd: introdu...

If I find you violating, or molesting my property in any way, I will employ a pair of burly convicts to find you, kidnap you, and perform god-awful sexual experiments on you until you lose the ability to sound out vowels. I don't know why you are still reading this, but by doing so you have proven that you have far too much time on your hands, and you should go plant a tree, or read a book or something. - http:...

HOWTO unmaintained?
Hi, more than a month ago I proposed an addition to the HOWTO to address a certain packet classification problem/bug and how to fix it (see http://mailman.ds9a.nl/pipermail/lartc/2005q3/016728.html). I never received any reaction from the HOWTO maintainers, not even when addressing them directly (see mail below). Given that a month has gone by: Is the HOWTO currently unmaintained? Regards,
