Hi all... relative new guy.... I am a new rails developer but am working as hard as I can to become competent. What are your best practices for locking down an environment to develop projects in? I am going to make an opinionated comment here. This is just my opinion and everyone has one. I think rails is the best framework out there. But I think all these frameworks do not solve any actual problems. They just abstract problems to simpler forms. On the other hand nodejs actually created a new and revolutionary way to develop web applications easily. Almost like writing a simple script.

Hello, I need to write a program that will talk http to some web applications. I was thinking to use Rack. I am not sure what would be a good way to do this.
