Time Server? - Answers/Summary
...f that). So it seems like if you want your Windows clients to
stay in sync then you must manually do it with a scheduled task that will
issue the correct 'net time' command. Or you can install a NTP client for
Windows.

Time Server?
List,
I've got my Samba box (RedHat 7.2) running NTP client to sync with
PARC. I want my windaz clients to be able to read time from it
automagically. Is there a way to do that? Seems like WinXX clients cannot
use NTP so can how can I sync them with my Samba box (which is accurate to
within 200 ms!)
TIA

where to get timesync.pif ?
The Samba FAQ mentions a program called timesync to update the
system clock on clients from the server. The download address in the
FAQ is out of date - where can I get a copy ?

time server = yes
I want my XP clients to update their clocks from my samba server. I
have time server = yes in smb.conf, and running ntpd on the server, but
my clients aren't updating their clocks. I tried running the command
manually logged in as a domain user:
net time /setsntp:10.8.2.3
but it just says "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied".
Any ideas?
