Using physical disk in HVM
...e ''ioemu''.
So, I changed it to
disk = [ ''phy:sda5,hda,w'' ].
But HVM window doesn''t pop up.
Did you guys solve this problem?
Can''t I use physical disk partitions for virtual disks?
Thank you in advance.

[Question]About KVM network zero-copy feature!
Hi,All
I searched from git-log, and found that until now we have vhost TX zero-copy experiment feature, how
about RX zero-copy?
For XEN, net-back also only has TX zero-copy, Is there any reason that RX zero-copy still not implemented?
Thanks!

[LLVMdev] Question about use-def chain
Programmers’ manual says we can iterate over a use-def chain by
op_iterator.
It works fine except for load and store instruction of stack variables.
For example, a simple bitcode is like the below.
i = alloca i32
store i32 0, i32* %i, align 4
%tmp1 = load i32* %i, align 4
If I apply a use-def chain to load instruction, I get alloca instruction.
I think store instruction is a correct

Dovecot connection error because of the desynchronization between a index file and it's log file
Today, i lost connection with the mail server.
I think that there are some problem with the index file and it's log file.
Following is the log for losing connection.

/home/hjnam/mail/.imap/INBOX/dovecot.index.log: marked corrupted

simple question about xenoprof
I''m trying to use xenoprof in my machine (xeon x5650, westmere).
While oprof works for this machine correctly, xenoprof doesn''t work
properly.
I want to use xenoprof in NMI mode (which is the opposite side of timer
mode, right?)
However, kernel message always shows that xenoprof works in the timer mode
only.
Is there any restriction or specs which is not

Problem with Memory Throughput Difference between Two Nodes(sockets)
Hi all,
I installed xen4.0.1-rc3 & 2.6.18.8 (dom0) on my machine (INTEL Xeon X5650,
Westemere, 12cores, 6cores per socket, 2sockets, 12MB L3,.. )
I figured out after running SPECCPU 2006 Libquantum benchmark that two nodes
have different throughput.
I set up 6vm on each node, and ran the workload in each VM.
VM in node1 got 1500sec exec time while VM in node2 got 1990sec

Can Xenoprof monitor Core events and Uncore Events simultaneously?
Is it possible to monitor Core Events and Uncore Events simultaneously?
Currently, it is not working now in my machine.
When I type the command line like this,

Estimating mixed logit using Maximum simulated likelihood
Hell all.
I¡¯m trying to estimate mixed logit model using MSLE.
In order to see that mixed logit model works better than simple logit model ( the logit model with fixed coefficient)
I simulated a dataset with random coefficients and tried to fit the data with both mixed logit and simple logit model.
Because my mixed logit model contains analytically intractable integrations, I applied

How can i get DomU information as much as possible?
Hi all.
Currently, I''m doing some experiments to find overheads of Xen in case of
overloaded situation.
During my experiments, I need specific information about DomU such as
- Paravirt or HVM
- Page Table Mechanism (shadow or nested PT)
What I can get so far is the information generated by ''xm debug-keys ''.
However, it is not sufficient

direct local access to Xen without libvirtd
Hi all. I'm just new to libvirt.
Looking page here http://libvirt.org/drvxen.html , there are examples of connection URIs to Xen.
xen:/// (local access, direct)
xen+unix:/// (local access, via daemon)
xen://example.com/ (remote access, TLS/x509)
xen+tcp://example.com/ (remote access, SASl/Kerberos)
xen+ssh://root@example.com/

[LLVMdev] how to get the address of operand
Hi,
I tried to write code transformation pass using LLVM.
But I couldn't find how to get the address of some operand (i.e. '&'
operation in C).
If an integer type variable is generated by AllocaInst(), is there any
method to get the address of that variable?
Thanks,
Keoncheol

[LLVMdev] How to create a new pass using Visual Studio
Hi,
I tried to write a new pass using Visual Studio.
On linux, I can run the pass as bellows.
A shared object is built by Makefile and dynamically loaded by opt via -load
option.
How can I run a new pass on Window?
Thanks,

Linux Qos : PRIO qdisc works
Hi, all
I am interested in Linux related QoS, especially PRIO queue discipline (qdisc).
I test some experiments about PRIO qdisc.

Host B ---------+ +-------- Host D
flow 1 : Host A -> Host C (TCP)
flow 2 : Host B -> Host D (UDP)

vnc ip binding problem
Hi, all.
I tested some operations with libvirt 1.1 on Xen 4.3
Creating vm seems okay, but I cannot connect to its vnc console. So, I checked its bining.
[root@dev-2 ~]# netstat -antp|grep 5900
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:5900 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 10508/qemu-system-i
I tried several times, but it always binds 127.0.0.1 only.
here's my xml.

[LLVMdev] __used__ attributes in llvm-gcc's crtstuff.c
Hello,
I'm wondering why only some global static variables are marked with
__used__ attributes in llvm-gcc/gcc/crtstuff.c.
GCC compiles crtstuff.c with -fno-toplevel-reorder option, which ensures
that
unused static globals are not removed during optimization. However, since
LLVM does not support that option, I presume __used__ attribute is used
instead.
For example, __CTOR_LIST__[1]
