Anyone got kaffeine installed. When I do a #yum install kaffeine I get a transaction check error with kde-libs. Is this a known issue and is their a workaround? regards, secrookie

Hi, Does anyone know how to clean up the system, especially the orphan packages. I post this in the forum, but it doesnt seems that nobody interested in this question. In the beginning, my system did not have any kde package but then i installed kaffeine, thus some other kde packages has been installed as dependencies but when i yum remove kaffeine, only kaffeine was removed. The other packages were left. In my Gentoo, i can clean up all the packages that are not installed explicitly but i dont know how to do it in centos. Any suggestion are...

Unfortunately it seems that the majority of flac players cannot play 24bit files - winamp, windows media player (with flac plugin), vlc, amarok, kaffeine and a few others ALL failed to play the file. I would either get silence, static, or a complete refusal to play the file. The only player that played it successfully was Foobar 2000 on Windows. More seriously from my point of view is the Java flac plugin also fails, which has major repercussions...

Hi Seeing as other people are posting streams to test, the system I have been developing has an Ogg/Vorbis/Theora stream that you can watch. I would appreciate any feedback to what players can play it and which players have problems. (I am using Icecast as the streaming server) So far I have found VideoLan plays the stream very well. MPlayer was ok, but wasn't as good at buffering.

The crashes most often happen at desktop login and when loading certain=20 applications (kmail, kaffeine, ...). The strange thing is that if I try to attach to kde-window-decorator with g= db=20 it doesn't crash anymore! What might be the reason? ...coded several .vob with " ffmpeg2theoar -p preveiw " with no problems at all. The quality is exellent. These .vob were ripped with vobcopy. The problem I am having is when I encode a .vob with " ffmpeg2theora -p pro ". The resulting .ogg will not play correctly with vlc or kaffeine.
