I forgot to present the problem of wine failure to launch also to the wine list. While my amd64 debian etch is in order, 32 bit debian etch has suffered much and is now in a state of semi-mess. No xen kernel image for k7 anymore!
...hich were able to use non-pae kernels without a problem for a long time till now. In my opinion this is a critical issue, because it makes xen unusable for about maybe 10-30% of all setups. Users with cpu's or mainbios/bios combinations without pae support cannot use xen anymore, even every k7 user will not be able to use xen anymore. The pae enabled 686 xen image will crash on k7 boxes. Dear debian-kernel-team, please rethink your position of pae-only xen kernels and reupload at least a working k7 kernel image again. Just having pae kernels in the archive is a very unwise decision....

Segfaults on K7
I got a new Athlon recently, and to my surprise, FLAC started segfaulting, even when recompiled. The problem goes away if I build with --disable-asm-optimizations. Has anyone else had problems of this sort? Here are the specs on the processor: processor : 0 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 6 model : 4 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) Processor stepping :

Segfaults on K7
I'm running your debian packages on a K7 currently. They seem to be working fine, including the xmms-flac package. I seem to be experiencing the same flac decoding problems (state=6:FLAC__FILE_DECODER_STREAM_ERROR) as Pritpaul Mahal, however. I'll see if I can reproduce these. It could just be a problem with my old FLAC files (fro...

Problem with 16-in-1 card reader
My new PC has an internal 16-in-1 card reader connected via USB 2.0. The device is the Techsolo TCR-1640 (http://www.techsolo.de/product/cardreader/tcr_1640/index.php). I boot from a compact flash inserted in it and I can mount and unmount the same CF once the system has booted and has mounted the root partition from my graid3 array. The problem arise when I replace the inserted CF with another

Bug#391448: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-i386: dom0 crashes when starting the 3rd domU
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-i386 Version: 3.0-unstable+hg11561-1 Severity: important I've installed xen-linux-system-2.6.17-2-xen-k7 (version 2.6.17-9) on a server, and planned to run 3 Xen domUs on it. Creating the domUs was no problem, and running two of them works well. Starting the third one however will crash the dom0 and forces it to reboot. The machine is a Athlon64 3800+ with 1GB RAM, each domU is configured with memory...

Did a recent Samba upgrade change something to lose connection with iptables enabled?
Hello, I am still a newbie to Linux, but I can find my ways around as long as I have help. For some reason if I leave my iptables enabled, I will lose my Samba share connection after a few minutes. Of course, then iptables disabled, I have no problems. I am using Debian with Kernel 2.6.14-K7. Is this normal? Thank you in advance. :) -- "Ever watch ants just crawling around? They walk in that single straight line, a long, a long, long mile of ants. Sometimes they will walk over and pick up their dead friends and carry those around. I'm pretty sure it's because they can ge...
