.... PAM uses LDAP to store PosixAccounts New Setup: Samba 3 with "native" LDAP. PosixAccounts are already migrated to my new LDAP server. ...two asterisks, but the same effect appears. Whenever there is PSTN involved, I have these klicking sounds, when there is no PSTN, everything works correctly. Hi ppl, I have a question more then problem, if I'm going to reinstall my Linux box from scratch, what do I have to backup for the Samba to work, beside the smb.conf & smbpasswd? Hi I am an absolute beginner and have just loaded SuSE v8 onto a new computer I have made sure that I chose Samba and samba-client amongst the software when I loaded up. Now, wanting to access swat, type http://localhost:901/ into my browser and get an error message. It seems that localhost:901 can't be found. Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong could be? I give up. I had this working and now it isn't and I don't know why. I was able to sync unix password using smbpasswd but now it won't work. When I run smbpasswd it changes the samba password but acts like it doesn't even see the parameters in the smb.conf to change the unix password.
