Notice: Check your tuned settings for a performance boost.
...operly in CentOS 7. I haven't checked this for CentOS 6, but it might be worth exploring. The TL;DR is unless you're running CentOS 7 on a laptop or as a virtual guest, you should probably run 'tuned-adm profile throughput-performance' I wrote up the full details here -> http://jperrin.org/centos/boosting-centos-server-performance/ -- Jim Perrin The CentOS Project | http://www.centos.org twitter: @BitIntegrity | GPG Key: FA09AD77

VPN connection before login
I imagine something like Cisco AnyConnect on Windows, where you can connect before login to the machine. So afterwards user specific network shares are available and can be connect via scripts. A request for help managing wiki permissions
Long story short, the core team doesn't need to be in the business of micro-managing wiki permissions. We've not been that good at it during the best of times, and as the 6.6 build process is showing we've clearly let some stuff slip without following up on it appropriately here. What I'd propose is that 3-4 people who have been around the distribution a while (perhaps John

I have inherited centos 6.3 and 6.2 vms in an esxi environment. docker 1.5 in virt7-testing
...ease by tonight (meaning working package and docs etc.) docker HEAD for c7 ------------------ I was hoping for wider feedback on daily rebuilds of docker master branch for c7 (which I already do for fedora rawhide), under a new package name (docker-unstable / docker-head / whatever). IIRC, KB and jperrin were for it. How does that sound to others? Or should I go ahead with this already? :) Thanks! -- Lokesh Freenode, OFTC: lsm5 GitHub: @lsm5 GPG: 0xC7C3A0DD -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... yum and python. grief and grief. CentOS 4.3
Hello. Maybe after work with FreeBSD I become too spoilt, but I expect that packages from one distribution kit works among themselves well. But that I see: $ rpm -qa | grep rpm rpm-libs-4.3.13_nonptl rpm-python-4.3.13_nonptl rpm-4.3.13_nonptl rpm-build-4.3.13_nonptl $python >>> import rpm ImportError /usr/lib/librpm-4.3.so: undefined symbol: rpm_execcon Thanks.
