...xcp The R3000XR did work, but neither apc1500 nor Smart-UPS_3000. I tried restarting nut, I tried in other linux servers (just plugging in and seeing dmesg). Nothing helped. So I scheduled downtime and powered off the UPses. That did help, and since that nut has been able to monitor the UPSes. JonB

...does nothing else and with NUT software that my main servers does not rely on. I've just ordered a new Eaton 5SC 1500i as a replacement because it is listed as very well supported. Once it gets here I'll get the broken UPS free and I'll install the NUT software on a test machine. JonB
