set unix time via samba
hi out there,
first of all: samba is pretty cool!
question: is there a way to synchronize the clock of my linux box to a
win95 box (something like 'smbnet time \\win95 /set /yes')?
cheers

menu.c32 selection bar visibility on serial console
...ble on a advanced terminal (xterm,linux,vt220)
but not on a serial console.
Is there any way to make the selection bar visible on a serial console ?
E.g. by putting a "*" in front front of the selected item, or enclose the > selected item with < less-than,greater-than ?

special meaning of '--' in pxelinux.cfg
...sing" e.g. in bash.
What is the function of the -- ?
I don't see any difference if I use it don't use it.
E.g here :
append vga=normal initrd=/install.amd/initrd.gz -- quiet
append vga=normal initrd=debian-installer/amd64/initrd.gz -- console=ttyS0,9600n8 quiet
Thanks in advance

jump from menu.c32 to HP Proliant BIOS
...s F9 to reach the System BIOS.
Since the servers take very long to power on I
miss the stage where I can press F9 to reach the BIOS
and so pxelinux gets started.
It would be very helpfull if it would be possible to
get from the pxelinux menu.c32 to the BIOS.
Is this somehow possible ?

who can hack this out?
...so that i get this result:
whenever a client (win95 or nt) writes to a samba share, samba responds to
the client 'everything is okay', but samba does not make this write command
really (instead something like sending the data to /dev/null).
a beer for the hacker who can do this!
cheers
