Do I need a dummy?
Hi all,
I managed to get all my VMs (5 in total) up and running in bridged
mode with public IP addresses from my ISP. All are running Debian
Etch in a Dom) of Debian Etch with Xen 3.1 using the instructions
here: http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_etch_xen_3.1
But ideally I only want two of the DomUs on the public internet with
the other three only on an internal network and the two

You vill need two commits( Update the longjump calls to fit the new declaration, The VPrint definition is now part of the exports of gnu-efi)
from https://github.com/joakim-tjernlund/syslinux/commits/master
to build against a modern gnu-efi

PXE boot img for both BIOS and EFI
...>
Yes, that seems a bit difficult.
What about booting syslinx from GRUB2 UEFI ?
that is instead of PXE boot from BIOS I want grub to start some syslinux binary that
continues behaves like PXE boot.
I want to automatise the PXE boot so I can initiate one by rebooting into GRUB go from there

WINS problems, samba 2.2.8a
...client I can only see a some nodes(or none at all)
in WORKGROUPS Y and Z. Usally it takes 10-20 seconds to update the screen when I refresh.
When I look in the wins.dat database I see lots nodes there that don't belong to
WORKGROUP X.
Is this normal behaviour? If not, how can I fix it?

Problem with cast {reshape}: Error in match.fun(FUN) : could not find function "Negate"
Dear All
I'm having problem with some script which worked a few months ago (on a
different computer that might well have had a different version of R
installed, so perhaps it has to do with the old version of R?):

2 samba server in same computer?
Hi
I am trying to find a way to run 2 samba PDC servers on the same computer.
One samba server is the one in production and the other will be used for
testing.
So far I have not found a way to do this, is it possible at all?
I only have one network card.

I am using top of git + gnu-efi 3.0.6 (https://github.com/joakim-tjernlund/syslinux/commits/master)
But I have tried older versions too. Seems my Lenovo EFI is too "modern" for syslinux
but I think Gene has an idea how to solve it.

syslinux-6.04-pre2
Hi all,
It has been the case for quite a while that the master tree is
unambiguously better than 6.03. I have thus tagged and pushed out a
syslinux-6.04-pre2 release, however, due to the issues with continuing
to keep the main archive on kernel.org, I have moved the release archive to:
https://www.zytor.com/pub/syslinux/
Other than the URL, there is no difference from the kernel.org archive.

No, this is a syslinux thing. Basically have grub load(over tftp) and run pxelinux.0 using
some other syslinux module.

efi config hang
...he one included in syslinux is very old.
I have one here: https://github.com/joakim-tjernlund/syslinux
While I am here, I want to ask:
Is there a way to create a combined PXE boot img for both BIOS and EFI ?
Currently one have to use 2 different images.
Also, can one have GRUB bootable PXE img?

@Jocke,
I could be wrong but... You seem to be missing the fact that, in
addition to booting a local device (e.g. HDD) syslinux.efi can be used
for network booting in UEFI mode, in a similar way as {l,}pxelinux.0 is
used for BIOS (although with much less features / capabilities, ATM).

syslinux-6.04-pre3 botched
I think I botched syslinux-6.04-pre3. There are two fundamental
problems with the build:
a) The selection of what pieces of the library gets included in the core
is done manually whereas it really should be automatic;
b) The build doesn't fail if there are unresolved dependencies between
the libraries and the core.
I will fix these. (b) is IMO fundamental to avoid this error in the
