Do I need a dummy?
Hi all, I managed to get all my VMs (5 in total) up and running in bridged mode with public IP addresses from my ISP. All are running Debian Etch in a Dom) of Debian Etch with Xen 3.1 using the instructions here: http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_etch_xen_3.1 But ideally I only want two of the DomUs on the public internet with the other three only on an internal network and the two

WINS problems, samba 2.2.8a
...client I can only see a some nodes(or none at all) in WORKGROUPS Y and Z. Usally it takes 10-20 seconds to update the screen when I refresh. When I look in the wins.dat database I see lots nodes there that don't belong to WORKGROUP X. Is this normal behaviour? If not, how can I fix it? Jocke

Problem with cast {reshape}: Error in match.fun(FUN) : could not find function "Negate"
Dear All I'm having problem with some script which worked a few months ago (on a different computer that might well have had a different version of R installed, so perhaps it has to do with the old version of R?): library(reshape) Loading required package: plyr > tble.data <- melt.array(interp, varnames=c("tme","lon","lat")) > > allyrs.interp <-

2 samba server in same computer?
Hi I am trying to find a way to run 2 samba PDC servers on the same computer. One samba server is the one in production and the other will be used for testing. So far I have not found a way to do this, is it possible at all? I only have one network card. Jocke

syslinux-6.04-pre2
Hi all, It has been the case for quite a while that the master tree is unambiguously better than 6.03. I have thus tagged and pushed out a syslinux-6.04-pre2 release, however, due to the issues with continuing to keep the main archive on kernel.org, I have moved the release archive to: https://www.zytor.com/pub/syslinux/ Other than the URL, there is no difference from the kernel.org archive.

...he one included in syslinux is very old. I have one here: https://github.com/joakim-tjernlund/syslinux While I am here, I want to ask: Is there a way to create a combined PXE boot img for both BIOS and EFI ? Currently one have to use 2 different images. Also, can one have GRUB bootable PXE img? Jocke

You seem to be missing the fact that, in addition to booting a local device (e.g. HDD) syslinux.efi can be used for network booting in UEFI mode, in a similar way as {l,}pxelinux.0 is used for BIOS (although with much less features / capabilities, ATM). syslinux-6.04-pre3 botched
I think I botched syslinux-6.04-pre3. There are two fundamental problems with the build: a) The selection of what pieces of the library gets included in the core is done manually whereas it really should be automatic; b) The build doesn't fail if there are unresolved dependencies between the libraries and the core. I will fix these. (b) is IMO fundamental to avoid this error in the
