Do I need a dummy?
...three only on an internal network and the two public ones also connected to these so they can use databases and filestores on the private side machines. Does that make sense? I''ll try and attach a PNG but if it doesn''t come out in the email you can see it here: http://www.jockcoats.org.uk/jocks_xen_network_ambitions Assuming that diagram is roughly correct I assume I need two bridges, one connected to Dom0''s physical ethernet card with my two public machines attached, and one without a network connection to the outside world to which all the VMs are...

WINS problems, samba 2.2.8a

Problem with cast {reshape}: Error in match.fun(FUN) : could not find function "Negate"
...version 2.6.2 (2008-02-08) I might be off track here, but I did an online search for any 'Negate' function and the only one I found was in the roxygen package, which I am fairly certain was never installed on the computer on which this script worked before. Thanks very much for any help, Jock Currie [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

2 samba server in same computer?
Hi I am trying to find a way to run 2 samba PDC servers on the same computer. One samba server is the one in production and the other will be used for testing. So far I have not found a way to do this, is it possible at all? I only have one network card. Jocke

syslinux-6.04-pre2
Hi all, It has been the case for quite a while that the master tree is unambiguously better than 6.03. I have thus tagged and pushed out a syslinux-6.04-pre2 release, however, due to the issues with continuing to keep the main archive on kernel.org, I have moved the release archive to: https://www.zytor.com/pub/syslinux/ Other than the URL, there is no difference from the kernel.org archive.

...he one included in syslinux is very old. I have one here: https://github.com/joakim-tjernlund/syslinux While I am here, I want to ask: Is there a way to create a combined PXE boot img for both BIOS and EFI ? Currently one have to use 2 different images. Also, can one have GRUB bootable PXE img? Jocke

You seem to be missing the fact that, in addition to booting a local device (e.g. HDD) syslinux.efi can be used for network booting in UEFI mode, in a similar way as {l,}pxelinux.0 is used for BIOS (although with much less features / capabilities, ATM). syslinux-6.04-pre3 botched
I think I botched syslinux-6.04-pre3. There are two fundamental problems with the build: a) The selection of what pieces of the library gets included in the core is done manually whereas it really should be automatic; b) The build doesn't fail if there are unresolved dependencies between the libraries and the core. I will fix these. (b) is IMO fundamental to avoid this error in the
