[Newbie] Generated files don''t use Windows end-of-lines.
I''m trying to use Rails on Windows 2000. I''m running into an immediate problem in that all the files generated by Rails use the UNIX end-of-line convention instead of the Windows end-of-line convention. A non-compliant end-of-line convention will break any number of tools I may wish to use to manage these files. Is there a way to get Rails to emit Windows-compliant

Bug#406973: logtail misses lines in rotated file
Package: logtail Version: 1.2.52 Severity: normal Tags: patch Hi, When a logfile is rotated, logtail misses the lines logged between the last logtail run and the logfile rotation. The attached patch allows to set an alternate logfile that logtail tries to use as the old logfile if the inode has changed. It can be used as: logtail -f /var/log/syslog -a /var/log/syslog.1 (Please note that this

Puppet 3.0: Not authorized to call find on /file_metadata, more issues?
I''ve seen mention of this error in several places, with different causes. So before I posted here, I attempted to resolve this on my own. I corrected the change from puppet:///files to puppet:/// in my manifests *.pp files. No changes were made to the auth.conf file, and I did note in the ChangeLog that: Auth.conf differentiates between names and IPs – There’s a new allow_ip

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking

indexing runs out of memory
I''m using Ferret to index a whole bunch of stuff at once. Thousands of documents that produce an index which grows to about 1.25Gb. While the indexer is running, I watch the memory use of the Ruby process grow steadily until it, too, is up to about 1.25Gb -- at which point the process crashes printing: [FATAL] failed to allocate memory Does anyone else have any experience with

highlighting from multiple indexes
Hi. I''m searching multiple indexes by passing an array of paths to Index::IndexReader.new(). I get several hits back, and can determine the document id of each. Now I want to fetch highlighted excerpts from a field in one of the matched documents. The problem I''m having is that Index::IndexReader doesn''t have a highlight() method. And, while Index::Index does

No subject
Hi, A few weeks ago I announced a rewritten PROFILES.txt on the mailing list. It is available on http://users.iafrica.com/p/pc/pcs/profiles.txt The idea of it is to explain exactly how NT and 95 handles roaming profiles and then specify how to set up samba to enable both to handle roaming profiles. Most of the document it finished, and I would like to contribute it, but I have a few things to

not understanding search results
I''m getting some results that I don''t understand from a search. The code, based on the tutorial, and the results are below. Everything makes sense to me, except the results for the ''title:"Some"'' query. I would think that it should match the first two documents, but not the third. What am I missing here? Thanks for any help! --- code

RE SMS and SQL
Hi TOm, I know it this doesn't really help your SMS problem, but it does help SQL. Oracle just accounced support for Linux and they said they are going to release a free version of ORACLE for Linux.
